Off of a recommendation from another parent, I started using Care.com and was able to fill my family's needs for a sitter in a pinch. As we looked into longer term coverage, we opened our search outside of Care.com and used recommendations from previous sitters of local families. This proved to be an arduous process and took way too much time out of our busy working schedules and we immediately went back to Care.com, posted our job, and got matches right away. We found a great fit and have been happy with the whole experience.

Care.com has made it very easy to find sitters and nannies. Once a job is posted, I have usually found a number of qualified applicants and had really good experiences with the people that I have hired. It is also wonderful that you can do background checks.
