I've personally had a very positive experience with the Care.com portal, and the irony is I'd of never signed up if I'd read the reviews first (I signed up, read the reviews as an after thought and immediately thought I'd been scammed!) However, I placed a simple ad looking for a carer for 1 day a week for my Mum (she has dementia) and then proactively contacted 5 carers identified through the site who all live in my town. All did quickly respond and whilst they were unfortunately unable to accommodate my request, a lady responded to my ad, who I've subsequently interviewed and can happily say is exactly what I'm after. So for me personally, maybe I'm lucky but in any event the Care.com portal has come up trumps. So thank you.

I'm 68 male married , fractured back twice now lay in bed. Immobile. I am looked after every day, 2 Carer's come in daily to help,shower, transfer from bed to wheel chair wash bits I can't, out dry meds back into bed, Absolute 100% real care. My care provider BGS HEALTH CARE LTD 01249821701. Coe Gemma, she is true care. Not only the personel care, but your ups downs , my memory not good and although not rude, I keep,stop . Leads to real stern in wife presence talking to.but for me I'm 160 kilo so suffer sore parts . But in years been thier I have never been denied dignity , even through council funded. In my humble view I can state ALTHOUGH PRIORITY IS WELFARE, PERSONAL HYGIENE, TO ME PERSONALLY I PLACE SAME NURSES, BGS, CARE IS PRIORITY, BUT THEY COMPANY WHERE YOU ARRE SEEN AS INDIVIDUAL PERSON, TREATED AS SUCH .. Care.com is better than match.com. I am now crazy in love with my babysitter, even left my wife for her. Known her for 8 years and she is everything. Care.com for the win. Best matchmaking site. Hands down, period! Locking the babysitter down. Thanks care.com for the ultimate hookup!
