Wish I'd done my due diligence on this company. They suck!! I was looking for a housekeeper. None of the applicants provided fit my needs. Tried one lady who was very nice but bless her heart she wasn't a housekeeper. So fine I paid for one month of care.com approx $38. I also made the mistake of purchasing their $20 upsell for background checks. I never used it and requested a refund. It was denied. According to care.com they don't provide refunds even if the subscription isn't ever used. I wan't asking for the $38 back, just the $20 as it wasn't used. Denied! The most frustrating part being getting in touch with this company. If they respond it's with one email and then they deem that the case is closed, whether the customer is satisfied or not or has other things they'd like to communicate. Terrible business model! Terrible customer service. Would never recommend or use again.

Only received one reply & two others listed never replied back. WARNING you must cancel 7 days prior to the month-end date (they charged my card 3 days prior to my end date & they NEVER REFUND so I'm stuck with another month). I probably still won't find a caregiver since most post different schedules each day so if u need set daily care (e.g. 8a-4p), it's almost impossible. Also one STNA that replied said she couldn't go on a short walk around the cul-de-sac so how is she to care for anyone??!! We asked for a male to groom/shower my father (he won't allow women to see him naked) & the 2 males listed never replied back so basically I wasted $70.

M. Thomas, said exactly how I feel. I spent a couple weeks trying to find someone to interview. I was looking for several hours of care for my 86 yr old Mother, so I could run errands, and do other housework. It was difficult only one person was interviewed at our home. She was very nice, but wanted cash only, no checks. She also would not sign a letter that if she fell (example on our porch) that she had insurance and would not hold us liable. I also reached out to another younger woman to help doing some basic housekeeping..my house is very organized and I just needed dusting and vacuuming. She was excited to do it and when I set up a time and date to see if she could come then. She never replied. I had a hard time cancelling this account. Trying to cancel my account was a real challenge I could never reach a real person. They never replied to my emails. I would not recommend them.

Care.com is a complete joke! For one, I signed up for the monthly membership to see how it went, they charged me the yearly subscription and when I went through complete hoops to get a refund for the 11 months I didn’t sign up for I was told that a supervisor will contact me because they do not give refunds. I had 7 candidates apply, only 2 messaged back. One of them seemed very nice but had very limited hours of availability, the second one I asked to meet her before leaving her with my two very young children and she asked why, then didn’t respond. It is a complete scam!! Do not waste your time or money!!

I have an acct and I have reviews from clients. I pay for this service, only to find that my most recent review from my client is not visible. When I ask others to see if they can view it, they cannot either..Although when chatting with care.com cust serv, they insist that although I can’t see it, others can. NOPE!! So since they began this platform change, no one is seeing my latest review and no one is reaching out to me to offer me a job. It must be nice to sit on your hands and allege that you’re working on the platform and in the meantime take people’s money!!!! They need to fix their program RIGHT AWAY!!! Garbage

Care.com is a deceptive billing hustle that leverages auto renew online scams to trap consumers. Among their tricks: -Default a 3-mo membership with auto renew feature (common trap); -Don’t send email confirmation of renewal charges (while flooding email with marketing emails) -Hide customer support number in bank statements and nowhere else (and when the number is called nobody is available and no information provided) -when attempts to cancel online the web site kicks you offline. Care.com announced online that in June 2023 BRAD E. WILSON was named as CEO. Brad has a heartwarming quote online: “As a parent, it’s hard to imagine a more meaningful mission than caring for those we love but GIVEN HOW COMPLICATED AND BUSY LIFE IS TODAY, it’s never more challenging to find that care. I love knowing that, through technology and the passion of the Care team, we have the opportunity each day to innovate and develop care solutions that TRULY IMPACT THE LIVES OF FAMILIES.” Well, Brad. We are one family trying to care for our 93yo father in the midst of our complicated and busy lives… and Care.com truly impacted our family’s lives…. In a truly negative way!

This company reversed a charge that was made for the criminal background check feature. I did not ask for anything more. Without my permission or request, they downgraded my premium account to a basic membership. Today is 08/21/2023. On 6/28/2023, I purchased a 12 MONTH ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION FOR $155.40. WHY WAS MY PREMIUM MEMBERSHP DOWNGRADED WITHOUT MY REQUEST. IF THEY ARE DOWNGRADING ME FOR NO REASON AND WITHOUT MY REQUEST, THEN THEY NEED TO REFUND MY MONEY. I WILL ESCALATE THIS AND REPORT TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICE AND THE BBB. MOREOEVER, IT BECOMES INTERNET FRAUD WHEN YOU PAY FOR SOMETHING AND THEY DON'T DELIVER WHAT YOU PAID FOR.... IT'S BEEN JUST ABOUT TWO MONTHS AND THEY OWE ME FOR 10 MONTHS OR REINSTATE THE MEMBERSHIP TO WHAT IT WAS, THE PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP.
