Not BBB accredited, because they're thieves!
We signed up for a subscription service to Care.com for $38.95 a month. After using the service for roughly 10 days, we canceled the service but continued to be charged. We were given no notice that charges were continuing on a monthly basis and that our cancelation request had failed. We received no emails each month alerting us to the recurring charges. We did not login and use the service for 11 of the 12 months we were charged. When we discovered the charges on 8/18/2023, we immediately went to the company website to contact them. We could not immediately find a phone number, and after much searching, found a phone number on their website. Upon calling this number, we listened to a recording; there was no support techs available. Then we had to resort to a hard-to-find chat option on their website, where the customer service rep was extremely unhelpful. We were charged $38.95 for 12 months beginning August 2022, for a total of $467.40, where we only used the service for 1 month, leaving us overcharged by $428.45. To add insult to injury, the cost of an annual plan is only $120, nearly 75% cheaper than what we paid with this recurring charge, even though we canceled. Given that the monthly charge is nearly 4x the annual charge, and given that no communications are sent by the company, it's clear they are acting in a VERY fraudulent manner. There's simply no other way to explain how they can have a system that fails to cancel a subscription, and fails to send you monthly invoices, while offering no phone support in any manner. And of course, they have a no refunds policy.
