Care.com Stole my Money!!! I used Care.com just once, and after three years, they charged my account without my permission, even though I don't have a subscription! This is fraud, as they stole my money. When I contacted customer service, they said they cannot refund the unauthorized charges. You should stay away from this website because they will keep taking your money without your permission.

I signed up for Care to find a babysitter in the city where a friend was getting married. After selecting some candidates, Care sent me a message that I had a match. I didn't recognize the profile, but I figured it was someone I'd originally reached out to. I was wrong. Look, my child is fine, and the Caregiver was fine, if not a little weird. What I don't like is that Care.com made it *seem* like I had reached out to this caregiver--which means I would have already carefully reviewed their profile and qualifications. Further, canceling the service was a nightmare. I thought I had canceled, but something went wrong. I tried canceling a second time, again something went wrong. The third time I contacted customer service to ensure it was fully canceled. Care.com does not have a phone number, so you have to use the chat feature (wish I'd known that before as well). I asked for a refund for any part of the membership but was refused. I escalated but got nowhere. If you use this, be sure to speak to a customer service person to ensure your cancelation goes through and be very careful reviewing any of your "matches." Better yet, don't use Care.com. Update: the company has responded to my negative review, but I want to make it clear that I already contacted the company for assistance. My case was escalated to a supervisor, and I received an email letting me know that nothing was going to be done (i.e. I wasn’t going to get a refund).

THE WORST cutsomer service and quality of providers. Stay far away!

Terrible customer service. Wrote asking for a refund as my monthly subscription was renewed without warning. Took them a week to answer and say no. Wrote back explaining and have yet to hear an answer back

I propose my services as a babysitter, obviously because I need employment and money. Care has the audacity to make one believe they'll put you in touch with potential employers for free. I registered and gave all my details, including the location limits I'd travel. (1) I receive daily many offers that are not remotely in my area; bravo algorithms! - (2) When I click on a potential offer, care.com suggests I enter a personal message, supposedly to be more attractive to the offeror. GLITCH: I'm blocked because I'm not a paying subscriber. (3) When care.com sent me a message twice about a potential employer who indicated being attracted to my profile, they told me to send a message directly to them. GLITCH: I can't as I am not a paying subscriber. I now realise I will not get any job with any potential employer and wasted my time with a slimy, unscrupulous web platform that does not deliver and only wants to cash in as much money as possible! Shame on them!

Wish there was a minus star for this. I’m totally gobsmacked by the audacity of this company to take your money and not deliver. Not only that, but then you have to chase down the participants who use the site to get employment and they apparently can be rude and not respond to messages, plus give you the height of abuse for calling them out in their lack of not only professionalism but common courtesy. I am currently trying to get my money back from signing up but to no avail.. this is not a company that CARE’s about anyone other then it’s bottom line. Sadly, it’s a scam site taking your money. AVOD IT AT ALL COSTS… please for your own sakes and that of your wallets. 🤮

I don't usually bother to write reviews but am so frustrated with this company. I wanted to have someone come feed my cats and couldn't figure it out and the only way to get help was to sign up for premium membership $39/mo. So I decided to do that. They couldn't really help so I asked to cancel it and if possible get prorated refund. I admit I forgot to follow up. They never canceled and I was charged 3 more months. Then I did cancel on their site and also sent an email complaining and asking refund for those 3 months. Got an automated email back "your issue has been resolved, go away.." THEN I saw they charged me for the following month after I canceled on their website. I managed to chat with someone on their site this time. They said they couldn't do anything but a supervisor would review it and get back to me. I said that's fine as long as I'd be able to email back the supervisor if I had a problem. Of course they just emailed that there are no refunds. When I tried to respond it says the issue is resolved and they don't monitor the email. In other words "tough luck". At the very least this last charge was BS. But they make it so hard to communicate that you basically have to give up.

This company is a scam and will up-charge you any change you get. You can't get in touch with them for a refund because they don't answer the phone and their help chat doesn't work because you can't type anything. They have purposely made it this way so they can be greedy and keep all of the money. I thought I was paying for one thing and then they added on extra expenses that were not explained first. I got charged twice and I need a full refund for dealing with this. Edit to add: I was reached out to about the company where I could contact customer service. I was told that they could not refund me when I explained my situation and having purchased something I did not want to purchase. I will update later if I get contacted later.
