Care.com is putting unauthorized charges on my credit card, despite the fact that I cancelled my account more than three months ago.

Any review above one star is fake.

Terrible customer service. In New York, companies are required to notify customers of an upcoming auto-renew charge. Care.com did not do this and refuses to offer a refund, as they state they don't offer refunds. I wouldn't need a refund if they were following the law, and being honest in notifying users. Would not recommend this service to care givers or those looking for care.

SCAM WEBSITE DO NOT USE!!!! I signed up for 90 days of their upgraded (i.e., paid for) membership- 5 minutes after I paid I got an email asking for me for the same info I had submitted on their website, and 5 minutes after that I got an email saying my account had been closed by CARE, but my $ was never refunded. I spent over an hour trying to reach someone through their website but no luck, they just told me to "submit an appeal". I did and never heard back. DO NOT SPEND ANY OF YOUR MONEY ON THIS WEBSITE, IT IS A SCAM.

This site is ROBERY! I was recommended and used rocket money to find out and flag what subscriptions or memberships i may have that are being charged without my knowledge and what do i find? Care.com subscription for $39.99 A MONTH. So im thinking weird but ill cancel and try and get that 39.99 back because i dont ever remember signing up for it but maybe i signed up for a month on accident? I finally got ahold of an online chat rep to find out that a “monthly upgrade” was made in july of 2019!!!!! BS I would’ve never upgraded to a monthly fee like that, I wasn’t even working full-time. Don’t need a sitter or nanny regularly at all. They justify it by saying that an original invoice was emailed to me in July 2019… nothing has been sent since. No monthly invoices? In this original email that was sent I would not have opened because I would’ve considered that junk mail. So I have now been scammed out of over $2000!!! This is devastating. No refunds? Wth? A legit company would be sending monthly invoices and flagging accounts that are not being used.

NEVER ending charges!! It's insane. The nanny was great, no problems with her. But I haven't used the nanny since September and I am still getting all these random charges. And they always have some stupid explanation for service fee for taxes ect. I just paid $400 for taxes, then $100 yearly fee, on top of the monthly service fee. Yet, I am still getting random $6,$8,$41 charges!! DO NOT USE! It's a scam. Find a nanny who doesn't need to use care.com.

I really don’t understand why it is not possible to have someone from their customer service help when there’s a problem. There obviously is not a live person that deals with issues. My problem is very simple to resolve but I can’t get anyone to answer the phone or even respond to an email that I sent. If someone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

I joined annually but no where in the description does it say that I would be billed for the entire year and on top of it charged $180 for background check without stating that prior to charging my card. When I called customer service they said they can't refund my money for just looking, ridiculously dishonest way to do business. They said they would cancel 1 year from now on 1/5/25. I'm disputing the charge on my credit card and reporting to attorney general's office. After talking with Customer Service I was told they don't give REFUNDS.
