If I could give Care.com a negative review - I would. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. I bought a monthly subscription with a huge price tag expecting to find a few nannies in my area- I found 5, only 3 of which looked even remotely suitable for childcare. and Im not even sure these were real accounts. I messaged all 3 hoping desperately that this wasnt a scam and that I had wasted my money - and I received no messages back. I waited weeks. Not only did I not find nannies in my area using this website, but wasted my money and time. I then reached out to their customer service about this and got a 'sorry, but our policy is our policy' and mid-conversation on their chat they said: 'Unfortunately, I'm going to have to end this chat so I can escalate the case for you. We appreciate your understanding. Someone will follow up with you soon.' and I havent heard from them since. An absolute scam - how are they still in business?

Poor customer service, almost no way to connect with them other than a live chat, and they don’t notify of new company charges they decide to add- and if they make a charge and you’re not using the service- they don’t refund.

Horrible service for registering as a caregiver. I completed my profile 3 months ago and when I attempt to find jobs, I get a message saying “ unexpected error occurred occurred. Please try again later.” Later has been over 10 Weeks now. Deleted app, re loaded and paid premium. Still same issue and can’t even click on Help tab!!!

I posted two jobs (cleaner and childminder/ babysitter) in this website and I got lots of people who showed interest in the jobs. Unfortunately when I invited them to come to discuss the job, they didn’t turn up. I paid premium for nothing

Site seems to be great for those looking for a caregiver, but horrid for someone to register to provide a service. The site defaults to Childcare. Not everyone does Childcare. Yet the site forces you to fill out that section before you can get to the other sections. Their 'chat' option leaves something to be desired. Such as they don't understand what you are asking them, therefore giving useless responses. Perhaps they should read some of these reviews and solve the problems. It would be helpful to all.

If I could give this company negative stars I would. Paid for a yearly membership thinking it would be useful and considering they put the caregivers behind a pay wall. On top of paying the caregiver, there was an additional fee to use care.com as the middle man. I thought that was what the membership fee was for? I was wrong. Never once ended up using them. Then I get a surprise charge this year from them for 155. Never said ok to a renewal for the yearly fee. I figured "I'll call, let them know I don't want to have this membership and I would get my money back". Especially considering I never once used them and called days after the charge. Got hit with a "we will cancel the membership, but the fee is not refundable." They are thieves. Crooks. Terrible emotionless people. Thanks care.com for one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a company. I will make sure EVERYONE I know (I'm middle aged with 3 young children with friends that all have 2+ children) hears about what my experience with this company was like. Sad thing is, I'm not the only one this has happened to by the sound of it. Believe the negative reviews!

Awful. They charge this ridiculous fee plus want you to pay more for background check, driving records, etc. when I signed up, first thing that pops up is another service that was for tax filing and, of course, it was an extra fee. Site is hard to maneuver. They don’t make it easy to cancel once you sign up. So far I’ve had one caregiver respond and she just wanted to know the hours. Look elsewhere for your caregiver needs.
