This company is unbelievably bad. I have gotten two caregivers who were great from there but they both hated care.com as well. They charge both the employer and the employee. They don't block scammers, and they charged me $ and then blocked me immediately after without any reason given and without any way to contact them. They refunded my money a week later after I disputed the charge with my credit card but didn't explain what happened. It's too bad, they used to be good but now they are absolutely useless. (UPDATE 5/21/24: Their reply was that they couldn't share information with me for my own protection. I wish I was kidding. They don't reply except superficially, def an AI generic answer. Do yourself a favor and don't use them!)

This site could be better used to provide families with the ability to connect with caregivers instead of charging just to message them. This has been a waste of time.

I thought this was a great site and had many job offers, however after using it for a while I was suddenly unable to log on. I am still receiving email alerts that people are messaging me job offers but can't log in to see them. I tried to reset the password but it wont send me emails to do so. I tried to log in by apple ID but it says the email is not recognised. I then tried to use the customer help chat tab (no company phone number provided), but no to get through to anyone you first have to add in all your deets and no matter what I try it says 'invalid phone number', which means that I am unable to speak with anyone. I then read reviews and found it is a massive scam site that steal member money and then blocks them from signing in to stop their subscription. This is SUCH a shame because it is a well needed site. DO NOT SIGN UP and if you are signed up and can access the site, stop your subscription before it is too late!

I have been a member for years with reviews on my page and worked with many families from it. But one day I paid $30.00 to do my annual background check, which came back all good. Then all of a sudden I can’t log into my account. I tried reaching out to them numerous times, they were horrible at replying. After a month I finally got a response back after I kept on emailing them. They said deleted my account and can’t tell me why. All I did was apply to jobs , like I always have done. I think it’s crazy that they stole my money, then blocked my account and I couldn’t get a hold of them. You’re better off using Facebook to find a nanny or nanny position. They always have so many technical issues on their website and their customer service never respond or helps out. I also had the same person in the chat box on the help page who kept exiting out of my conversation because he didn’t want to deal with my issue. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Dreadful, it is a con in my experience Paid £45 for the service to find a cleaner, their website does not work effectively it keeps glitching and therefore cumbersome to use and. communicate with anyone, website candidates are not updated, people don't respond, its a complete waste of money, when I contacted customer services via the slow responsive chatbox they refused to refund and abruptly ended the chat. Their poor service makes a mockery of the 'care' service title.

I used to use Care.com frequently around 5 years ago and successfully found positions on the site. However in recent years I had heard the website and app had gone downhill. This turned out to be true for me! I created an account and paid for a subscription only to not be able to access the account from the app! App glitches just as I have read about. Thankfully, after waiting for 30 min, I was able to talk to a customer support agent who closed my account (that I never was able to gain access to). Now I’m just hoping that I was told correctly that I will receive my money back. My experience is that the website and app are unusable and I’m so frustrated that I’ll take my job search elsewhere.

VICTORIA WANTED TO WORK FOR ME BUT SHE SAID SHE CALLED AND MY LINE WAS ALWAYS BUSY. SHE GOT A BETTER OFFER WITH MORE HRS. ANOTHER ONE OF THE GIRLS SAID SHE WAS INTERESTED BUT NEVER HEARD FROM HER AGIN. THINKING CARE.COM IS JUST ANOTHER SCAM.

Care.com has been of zero value in finding support for babysitting / nanny which matches the absolutely zero technical support for any assistance with a functioning website, billing issues and subscription cancellation. Our job post and messages did not receive any responses, despite the website saying users were "active". Monitoring it over a month and there has been no updates on activity or jobs which seems highly unlikely or a complete waste of a site that doesn't get used. When seeking to cancel my subscription, I received error messages everytime I tried to downgrade to basic or close my account and have now been charged again. Trying to contact their "24/7" help team has been completely unhelpful - requiring personal and account details despite being logged on through my account, the mandatory fields not recognising text, and again the same "unexpected error... try again later" when submitting. Finally finding an email for care.com to try get some human help is also useless as I got an automatic response that says the email is not monitored go to the FAQs (tried that, didn't work). Completely frustrating and still no closer to getting any help with our original need for a babysitter. Save your time and money and look elsewhere for this service!
