I would give negative stars if I could. This company is a sham. Don't ever buy anything from them. Once you do you cannot unbuy. It is a scam for older people to click on with no ability to change your mind. Yes you can cancel one second after you decide yes. And if you cancel there is no refund whatsoever. So, I have paid more than $100 for a service I will never enjoy, have cancelled and cannot get any refund from per company policy. You are right I have cancelled.

Actually, no stars. I have had a lot of trouble receiving messages from a woman I want to interview for a housekeeping position My I paid the fee, but my email and password are not accepted. Looks like I wasted my money. My email and phone number were sent to the applicant but must have been censored by Care. Help desk is not manned.

I have had a profile on care.com for over 10 years. In my bio I state that as I was raising my children over 25 years ago, I also cared for other children in my home. Upon a recent review of my bio I tried to edit a few things and strangely enough that statement got my profile shut down. The statement that has been on there since the beginning. I have contacted customer service for about 10 hours over the last week. I had people looking for care that I was speaking to that can no longer get in touch with me because they closed my profile. When I contacted care.com for help their response was to create a new profile. They wanted me to pay for new records checks although they were just done two months ago and start an entire new profile rather than fix their issue. The customer service reps are of no help stating that they need to escalate my case and they will let me know what the outcome is. The outcome is they send me an email telling me to edit my bio which I can't do because my profile has been closed. When I contact them back to discuss this they say they will escalate my case and email me. And it just goes round and round. Three families left high and dry without the care that we were discussing for their vacation needs. There is no option to call them on their website and repeated chat sessions and emails go absolutely nowhere. When I poked around I found many other people in my same situation. My daughter said she was looking for care and also had a profile that she was offering housekeeping services and they shut hers down for the same reason. Told her she was operating as a business. Yes she's operating as a business and also looking for care. They cannot get their platform figured out after 17 years

They messaged to me again is not our policy to refund to you . But we are kind and probably ( after several complaining about them here) we can refund to you BUT we saw your account you closed your subscription and we cant🤣🤣🤣 ( yes i did because every month they took money from my credit). Ok I asked if i open that and you refund my money and then i close what gonna happened can you refund? They never back to me they just want to spend the time . This platform is big scammer

I had an experience so bad it was deeply disturbing. With no human reviewing of applicants on their web site and no monitoring you do not know how bad things could get. I have employed a few people through informal or agency methods over years but after lockdown I found it is much harder to find people so I resorted to this. But I see I put myself at risk as the registration on a web site gave me a false sense of security. I found myself unable to get rid of someone mentally unbalanced who manipulated me for pay without having even turned up mostly, and withheld/ stole my possessions she was meant to be mending, instead of cleaning as it was another area of help I needed. She had disappeared with my stuff for months with no communication then failed to turn up several times, then tried again to extort the pay without me first seeing them. She had lied to whoever was advising her over another legal issue she was in, so the police refused to get involved. I lost my possessions and went through so much stress having to deal with someone I think should not get near to working for potentially vulnerable people in their home. I wished I could complain and warn others.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE! PLEASE DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD TO CARE.COM. Once they get your money they refuse to give it back. I tried to sign up for a monthly membership to try it out and they charged me for a yearly membership ($130) and refuse to refund me! They are a bunch of crooks! Please please stay away!!

Don’t give them your name or e-mail address. This is a terrible scam! It looks like a search platform, but it’s only purpose is to lock you into a membership at a crazy monthly fee on top of any hourly rate you’d pay the service staff. Also, there is no information about how to cancel your registration or membership, nor any contact details at all, except for signing up for membership. They will spam your mailbox with tons of service offers and you‘ll have no way to turn this crap off. I‘m checking legal options.
