Edit: i have tried to contact care.com through the way they told me too. Still nothing. My account got deleted a year ago because my profile picture looked underage. And when I went to make a new profile it just says can't be done at this time. I have sent email after email but no reply. It's a shame because I did like this site and used to recommend it. Now I'm not sure I would at all

Realized directly this is was strange. Looking for temporary dog care/boarding should NOT require monthly payments!!! Ridiculous! Thanks for all the comments below providing the info i suspected!! That there’s nobody behind all the provided alternatives IF I pay my fees to Care!! Shape up if you want to be taken seriously!!🤔😬😕🧐

Used this once in 2018 and apparently have been getting charged yearly without any notifications. Yes, I should have caught it but it is extremely shady business practice to auto-renew yearly with no notice! That is likely why they are still in business, so many of us don't even know we are being charged. AND even though I have not used it since 2018 they would not refund me for the most recent charge. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES!

This is only because I cannot give it 0 stars. The negative review has nothing to do with the caregivers, but instead the anti-customer stance of the so called "customer service". They made it difficult to cancel and would not refund me for a quarter that started the day before my call. I was a quarterly member and thought I had already cancelled until I saw a charge on my credit card for Q4. I call the VERY NEXT DAY after the charge hit my card and I was told that there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they told me that I could not, but one would get back to me in 72 hours. The next day I got a boilerplate "Unfortunately, I can confirm that your account is not eligible for a refund." I will NEVER use them again and will ensure I warn everyone that I can of predatory policies and lack of flexibility.

No response from cleaners after I responded. Found whole thing confusing. Didn't get my house cleaned before my guests come tomorrow the way I wanted it cleaned.... had to do all by myself. Shaking my head... really needed another person.

WHAT A SCAM!!! Beware of this awful site - they took our money for a year membership, we signed in one time (fine, happy to pay for the year we signed up for) but then they auto renewed our membership WITH NO WARNING, REMINDER OR OUR KNOWLEDGE and increased the price to over $180 and then fought us tooth and nail when we asked to be refunded as we hadn’t even signed in or used the services for over a year. They finally will refund a partial amount but what an unethical, sneaky way to do business. Shame on you, care.com - way to NOT CARE about your customers.

After I paid for the annual membership, I went into my account to add my wife so we could both find sitters or nannies for our baby. Turns out that you can only have one person as an account owner. My wife and I both need to be able to find care and split that responsibility but Care.com doesn’t allow that. Every other baby app we use from Hatch to Snoo and Nanit and more all allow multiple caregivers or parents to share a single account. But Care.com, the most expensive membership of them all, doesn’t allow that. Now, this is disappointing but not even the worst part. I started a chat to speak with an agent named NG Ryan who told that me I should have had my wife set up the account. What??? My wife and I share care responsibilities for our child. Why would they say that? The next agent I spoke with, Mary B, was also unhelpful. Upon seeing multiple reviews on TrustPilot and other sites about people receiving refunds, from partial to full, I expected to be able to get some money back for a poor customer experience and unprofessional support agents. Mary made things worse. She refused to help in any way, saying that she was powerless to do anything and that I had to talk to Apple. For a company based on caring for others, they sure seem to be apathetic to caring about their customers. I’m looking for support and help with finding childcare and their agents say offensive and unprofessional things throughout the chat. I haven’t even had the chance to use the app yet and I’m already furious that I paid money to this company based on the service and horrible product design.

No one ever contacted me. They just said they were available.
