Well, it's a shame I had to select 1 star to move on to the next step in this review because 0 stars fits them better. Slow to process claims, poor communication, I am going on the 4th month on my claim. These are people you should run from. I STRONGLY SUGGEST bringing these issues to light with the car dealerships you purchased the cars from even if you have to speak with general managers or even the COO. if dealerships stop offering customers their product it will put companies like this out of business. I did that and I am hoping they drop them because the company I bought my car from has like 6 dealerships.

Worst customer experience ever. Their primary contact is email. They will not communicate with the lender, auto insurance, or dealership, only the customer. You rarely get an answer by phone or they have a 30 minute wait time on hold. Email responses take 7-10 business days. Once you finally get the 40 pages and forms they request turned in, it’s an estimated 20-25 business days to process your payment. And you get zero communication by email after that point. My wreck was 6/4. The claim was started by 6/9. The back and forth on turning in paperwork lasted until 8/21, which is when my final cancellation form would’ve been turned in. Then zero replies to my emails. I finally called and stayed on hold for the 30 minutes and was told “You’ve been approved for payment as of this morning.” Now we wait another month for them to mail a check to our lender. In addition to the $900 fee I paid for the GAP itself, they have cost me an additional $3,000 in payments and interest due to their sloth like business practices. If you can buy your GAP from your lender or anywhere else, it would be better.

Horrible customer care. It has been 3 months, and they are horrible at texting back. They will not help you AT ALL. I keep asking them questions, which takes them 4 days to respond to with a simple email, and they only give you a 2-sentence response that doesn’t help you at all. Genuinely a horrible company.

I have had A HORRIBLE experience with CARCO! HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION! My daughter totaled her vehicle on March 8th they had been sending my info to the wrong email address(that they made up!) for a few months. When we finally got that information straight, it took a month for them to even tell me they needed more information to process my claim!! Finally all of the paperwork they needed was in and they tell me it going to take 15-20 business days to process the information. I tried numerous times to email them to find out where we were in the process with minimal response and when they did respond it was a month later(july29) and all they said was the claim had been submitted for payment. I emailed at least once a week to find out where the claim money was because the payments were still due on the loan WITH NO RESPONSE!!! I had to make numerous payments after the accident along with late payments because I didn’t have the money to pay it originally and finally on AUG31 I get a message back saying…my claim had been submitted for payment!!??? it was the exact same message that I had gotten a month before.These people are ridiculous when it comes to payout and communication! I will never ever ever ever deal with this company again!! Absolutely the worst experience with insurance. I had a previous company pay out within 30 days. Not understanding what takes so long with this company

Literally a bunch of crooks. Trying to drag things out to extort more money out of you. Ran by complete fraudulent people.

Awful illegal company. Unresponsive. 30 different departments all useless and rude when you can get someone Inbreach of my contract to the point im obtaining a lawyer. Pay up or be sued. Im done with the games

Do not get GAP coverage from this company. Its a scam!!!

Carco is the worse GAP coverage company ever:They are feet slow, unprofessional and have unethical practices. They do not want to pay the claims and try to pressure you into documents that they feel will cause you to give up. BUYER BEWARE AND DO NOT OPT TO USE THIS COMPANY. They are crooks and I’m filing a formal complaint.
