Great customer service, but disappointing product quality and reliability
I purchased a Ca’Lefort 24-inch dual-zone wine refrigerator, and unfortunately my experience with the product itself has been very disappointing. The first issue started as soon as it arrived. The wood racks had a very strong, unpleasant odor. To Ca’Lefort’s credit, their customer service team responded quickly and sent me replacement racks. Unfortunately, the replacements had the same issue, and it took quite a while for the smell to fully dissipate. The much bigger problem came later. Almost to the day that the refrigerator was out of warranty, it failed. It began displaying a blinking “H1/HI” warning and stopped cooling. I want to be fair and give Ca’Lefort a lot of credit for its customer service. Their team has been very responsive throughout the process and sent me several replacement parts in an effort to fix the unit. I genuinely appreciate the time and effort they put into trying to help. Unfortunately, after months of back-and-forth and trying multiple replacement parts, the refrigerator still does not work. At this point, I have no choice but to replace it. That’s what makes this particularly frustrating. I’ve actually been impressed with Ca’Lefort’s customer service, but ultimately that can’t make up for a refrigerator that failed shortly after the warranty expired and could not be repaired. I just wish the quality and reliability of their products matched the level of service their customer support team provides. Based on my experience, my next wine refrigerator will not be a Ca’Lefort.
