Welcome to Cacao Adventures — your trusted source for authentic native cacao, wild-sourced directly from the Peruvian Amazon.Founded in 2023 by Samoa and Jose (a cacao post-harvest expert), Cacao Adventures was born from a shared love of real, unprocessed cacao and deep respect for the indigenous communities and small family farms who have cultivated it for thousands of years. Every product we sell comes from wild cacao strains grown naturally in the Peruvian Amazon — never industrialized, never mass-produced. We work hand in hand with indigenous cacao-growing families, including Awajún communities, paying premiums above New York market prices to honor the quality of their work, and help protect their land and culture. We train them in post-harvest practices and when they achieve the standards we need, we are able to pay them a premium for doing the right work. Our cacao is crafted at origin

The cacao is amazing, shipped super fast and is superior. I am super disappointed to find that you're using AI generated images on your website marketing. Honestly it's a major obstacle to purchasing again. I know it's hard to get a business and product off the ground, but as a person who has worked in her all products for 20 plus years, you CAN and should take your own picture of your product. Either yourself or hire a photographer. AI is so incredibly off-putting, terrible for the environment which you claim to support aans want to protect, and it definitely makes me question authenticity. Please work toward using human generated art/photography/ graphics/copy in your marketing. Especially as a concietentous, ethical and earth and people supporting small business.

Hi there, thank you so much for taking the time to write this, and we're so happy you loved the cacao and the fast shipping! We really appreciate you raising this, because authenticity matters a lot to us too. All of our product photos were taken by a wonderful Peruvian photographer, and the jungle and farm images were taken by another Peruvian photographer who traveled with us to origin. Some of our images are compositions our graphic designer created by combining and editing our own photos, which can give them a polished, artistic look as we didn't take the picture in the photo session. The one exception is our Private Reserve image. That's a digital *render* made by our graphic designer, not an AI-generated image. Supporting real artists, from the farmers to the photographers and designers who help tell their story, is a big part of who we are. If there's a specific image you were thinking of, we'd love to know. Please email us at [email protected] and point us to it so we can take a look. Thank you again for your support and for holding small businesses like ours to a high standard. With gratitude, Samoa & the Cacao Adventures team

I bought a bundle of three and paid extra for the cold packs, but delivery took 48 hours, so the cold packs may have kept the chocolate cold for awhile, but were lukewarm on arrival. I received the cacao less than one week ago, so I cannot say that I have noticed any of the stated benefits. I hope my experience improves.

Hi Mina, thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for giving our ceremonial cacao a try. On the benefits: one week is a short window. Cacao's effects tend to build gradually with consistent daily use, so we'd gently encourage you to stay with your routine - we genuinely hope your experience deepens over the coming weeks. On the cold packs and delivery: our cold packs are designed to protect the chocolate in transit and are most effective in the first hours after arrival, which is why we send several pickup reminders. In our experience, we don't have issues when packages are retrieved as soon as they're dropped off, but things like this could always happen. We did look into overnight shipping, but it's quite expensive, so we've found 2-day shipping to be the most affordable option for our customers. We are adding an overnight option at a $50 flat rate (at cost) it's not something that makes sense for us, but if customers like you are interested in it, we're happy to make it available. Most importantly, please know that cacao is completely fine if it softens or melts - it doesn't affect the quality or the benefits in any way. For warmer shipments, we also offer blocks made specifically to melt in transit, so they arrive ready to use and nothing goes to waste. We hope you enjoy the rest of your cacao, and we're confident you'll feel the difference with continued use. Warmly, The Cacao Adventures Team
