We had an incredibly disappointing experience at Burton’s in Burlington and will not be returning. We ordered what should have been one of the simplest items on the menu—a steak cooked medium rare. Instead, it arrived well done. Our waitress was very pleasant, apologized, and immediately offered to have another steak prepared. Unfortunately, the replacement was even worse. This time the steak came out completely rare, to the point that it was not fit for safe consumption. At that point we asked to speak with the manager. The entire ordeal took well over 30 minutes, leaving one of us waiting while the other had already finished eating. What should have been an enjoyable dinner turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. By the time the replacement arrived, the evening was completely ruined. Mistakes can happen, but getting a steak wrong twice—first severely overcooked and then severely undercooked—is unacceptable for a restaurant that prides itself on quality. While our waitress did everything she could to help, the kitchen failed us twice, and the manager was unable to salvage the experience. We left extremely disappointed. We will not be returning to Burton’s and cannot recommend it based on
