We are starting a company and I am going to be writing the blogs. Although I enjoy writing, I didn't have the confidence I needed to feel like I was presenting the best blog I could for our company. Build Your Own Blog is presented in an easy to understand way for us novices. Matthew's emails make me feel like he is helping me personally. His very professional but personal approach makes me feel like I really have someone by my side to help me present a truly effective blog.

I am very pleased to write this review for Matt, even though I am one of the 'bunnies' out there who has not yet finished setting up their blog. (I have some health issues that flare up etc.) But, hey, I'm working on it, since he's so kindly provided an excellent road-map. I read broadly but Matt's info is what I rely upon. So in hopes I'm not accused of gushing a bit: Happily, I found his (very popular) blog a while back and immediately signed up for his newsletter. As a former business writer, I am maybe a little suspicious sometimes of online 'helpers' in that so many soon are holding you upside down trying to shake the spare change out of your e-pockets. But Matt really does provide free help from the get-go in setting up your blog, sends out thoughtful newsletter/posts that always seem to speak to me and thee personally, on topics I've not seen addressed elsewhere, some technical but also, many addressing the quality of the thinking and writing and planning for what we are trying to accomplish. He doesn't just flip out buzz words, ok? And he (or maybe a helper? I would not begrudge your having help, Matt!) is incredibly responsive to emails or through real-time chat to help with the esoteric questions that bug me at 2 a.m. and otherwise might contribute to procrastination. ;'] I do hope somehow Matt is realizing some income from all this, but so far it's not coming from me! (If I were further along, he'd be the one I'd seek out for paid consultation, though.) So, a final thought for Matt: Thank you, really, for being there. Beyond being a true blogging guru, you have a light in you, and you share it. And that is a rare and good thing.

I have emailed Matt a couple of times with questions and he's always been very kind and helpful. I appreciate knowing he's sincerely happy to help out when needed and always with a cheerful attitude!

The steps were easy to follow.

Matt has been incredible in his guidance in creating and sharing my blog with others. His Build Your Own Blog series led me through the process of setting up my blog and doing a wide variety of things with it. His tidbits sent via email always have great advice that comes at the right time. And when I cannot find an answer on Google on how to do something more, I simply contact Matt and he guides me to the right path. I would recommend Build Your Own Blog to any and everyone that wants to start and maintain their blog!

I'd been thinking of blogging for a while and finding Build Your Own Blog in a search gave me the kick start I needed. I set up my own blog very quickly with Matthew's easy to follow video tutorials. I highly recommend them. I enjoy the regular emails with lots of great tips, eg: I installed Yoast SEO after listening to Matthew's podcast with the founder. I find I learn more and more with each post. I've had occasion to email Matthew and comment on a post of his and he always responds in a timely way with lots of encouragement. Thanks Matthew!

I have found Matthew's information to be very helpful in clearing up some of the smaller more mundane concerns that a newbie blogger might have. His information is straightforward and very easy to understand. I will be using many of his tips and techniques once I get up and running - a bit of a delay on my part with some non-blog related issues. I would recommend Matthew's services to everyone; both newbies and veterans in the blogging community because no one person knows everything in this ever-changing ecommerce atmosphere.
