My niacin had dicalcium phosphate in the pills. No other pure Vitamin B contains this ingredient and you should be clear it is not just Vitamin B3. There is no reason to add this questionable ingredient to pure Vitamin B3.

Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback. Dicalcium phosphate is a processing aid in dietary supplement products, and is found in many thousands of products as an ‘other ingredient.’ It is also used to supplement calcium levels in many fortified foods such as pasta and cereals. FDA recognizes the nutritional value of the calcium in this processing aid and requires us to note the amount of calcium it provides per tablet in the Supplement Facts information. Dicalcium phosphate may be listed differently on some other products but is a safe and widely used substance in the manufacture of supplements, pharmaceuticals, and food. You could think of calcium as an ‘added value’ with this product. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any more questions or concerns. Please send an email to Customer Care at [email protected] or call us toll-free 1-800-235-3200 during normal business hours.
