I completed the online IQ test as I was curious as to what range I was at, and unbeknownst to me when paying the $1 USD for the IQ test, it was actually a subscription trial that renews for way more money after a week, and it is also impossible to cancel this subscription unless contacting via support email, and I am demanding a cancellation before the next billing, OR (if the next billing goes through) a cancellation AND refund for however much it was.

Subscription cancellation Beware, this company makes cancellation of subscription difficult. There is no facility to cancel via a button on your profile or link on their site. After some searching their site, its apparent you need to send copious emails to request cancellation. The process isnt immediate and in my case a subscription amount was taken from my bank, despite having emailed the company to cancel subscription as I only wanted to fo the IQ test. The company are now refusing a full refund! Then offers a part refund stating they can not give a full refund but can offer a one off 50% refund - stating due to processes there end which limits full refunds!! So beware!

I came across brainsmate as an IQ test about a month ago. Curious about where I sat, I took the test, paid the 1 dollar to get my results, got my results and then being informed that I had to pay money in a month time, I went to cancel my subscription and never got a confirmation email. Last night I was charged the full amount for the subscription even though I haven't touched it since and then asked for a refund given these circumstances. I went and logged into my account and cancelled my membership again, once again not receiving a confirmation email and then emailed brainsmate about what happened. After explanation from brainsmate that I wont be getting my money back, I was then informed that they had gone and cancelled my membership, which indicated to me that my second attempt of canceling this membership was also unsuccessful and it seemed like I was going to be paying a monthly service again in another months time. A disappointing result given the circumstances. Would recommend to anyone considering trying it, to be aware they're more interested in keeping your money than they are about coming to a form of reasonable outcome with their customers.

You need to pay a dollar to receive your results, which I had no issue doing. However, it is not made clear that it is a 7-day trial and by paying that dollar, you automatically sign up to a 40$ package that gets charged after a week. No reminder is sent the day before the free trial ends and you also receive no email confirming that you signed up to a subscription so you have no way of knowing until it is too late. Furthermore, there is no section on your profile on the website that states which package you signed up for or that you signed up at all. As a subscription-based service, the communication and information transparency is abysmal. Of course they also refused a refund as I’m sure this is how they make a lot of their money. Disappointed, but it is what it is. Warning for others.

I did an IQ test that were supposed to cost 1US$. After a week i was charged 30$ for a subscription i didnt sign up for. I sent them an email, and got no response. Now after a month i got charged again for new 30$, and no way to cancel the subscription.

I was tricked into a subscription under the guise of €1.50 test, got a notification from my banking app that I was charged €39.99 from this organisation, I cannot afford to be fraudulently decieved like that, fortunately my card blocked the payment, but i then looked for the deletion of the subscription or the account and it's not present so i had to write a whole email to get it deleted and yet i got no response, thanks brainmate. Please cancel my unintentional subscription 😢

You got curious and did there tests and the price seemed better than any other but , you'd be wrong . They charge you 30usd for there services in a subscription type system when you go to your account to cancel there isn't a way I don't know how this platform got the trust from many to be honest, and it isn't even once I've recently got a second notification about a deduction from this company of an amount of 30 usd. to me this seems like a scam you never know that your turning yourself in for a subscription most probably finished the test and clicked get results and saw the 1 dollar and thought its worth it, not knowing what awaits them for the weeks to come.
