Hi there. Sorry for the inconvenience. We’ve actually removed the “Fix with AI” feature for all file types except for .txt, .csv, and .tsv. These are currently the only formats AI can reliably parse and process. If you were referring to a different issue, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team directly at [email protected] for further assistance. Additionally, if you’re considering upgrading to Brainscape Pro, our support team might be able to help you with a discount—just ask when you reach out! Thanks for your understanding. We look forward to hearing from you if you need further help. - Chuckee@Brainscape

Sorry to hear that you didn't find the content helpful! As you may have noticed, Brainscape contains both *user-generated* and *Brainscape-Certified* content (which is made in partnership with publishers and other experienced educators). Each collection of flashcards is labeled accordingly. If you're trying to study a subject for which we *don't* already have Brainscape-Certified content, we can't guarantee its quality. Yes, we DO use many signals to help "rank" the best user-generated content at the top, but at the end of the day it's still user-generated. This is why we offer ample ways of sampling a user's flashcards (for FREE) before you would hit any paywalls to unlock the rest of it. If there is a particular subject (or exam or certification) for which you would like to request that Brainscape partner with a publisher to create Brainscape-Certified flashcards, then please let us know, and we'll do what we can to comply! Thanks again for your input and for having given Brainscape a chance 🙏

Oh no, we're so sorry to hear that, Lewis! We appreciate you sharing your experience. It is understandably frustrating to deal with poorly worded questions. Just a reminder, we can’t validate non-Certified flashcards, but you can check the creator's Profile for more details. Flashcards made by reputable teachers are generally more trustworthy. We also provide tools that enable users to enhance the accuracy and clarity of user-generated flashcards. While studying, just click the Edit button in the top corner of each flashcard to submit suggestions to the creator of the Class. Additionally, you have the option to make a Copy of the entire Class's flashcards, allowing you to directly improve the collection for future users. Note: These features require a Pro account, which not only grants you access to classes created by other users but also includes all Brainscape Certified Classes and more. We understand the subscription cost can be high for students. Please contact our support team at [email protected], as they might be able to offer you a discount. Thanks for your understanding! Thanks for your feedback, Ruby. We're sorry to hear that our pricing options have not worked out for you! I wish that high-quality software development were not so expensive for us 🙃 I might at least like to clarify a few points: - Creating and studying your own flashcards is 100% free, forever - Studying flashcards that someone *shared* with you is also free. You only need to upgrade to study other flashcards that weren't explicitly shared with you - Creators DO have the opportunity to earn money from the flashcards they created. Click here to apply to our Authorized Creators program: https://share.hsforms.com/1HMsMcLdGQaeqV_cE2tHo4Q1fype - We don't "hold data hostage"; anyone is free to delete flashcards that they have created - We do offer a student discount if you'd like to contact our support team from your school email address: [email protected] Hope these things help and that we don't lose you as a Brainscape user!

Hi Gabriela. Brainscape's CEO here. Really sorry to hear that this happened to you back in 2021! What you refer to as a "scam" was actually a period in which we were indeed going through a tough time as a business, and we were working through many product issues. We've spent the past few years totally revamping the product, performance, and user experience, and we think you'd be a lot happier with it now! If you're still in the market for a flashcard app, that is. Either way, we're happy to give you some free Pro access if you email us at [email protected] so you can enjoy the best of what we now have to offer.
