The product is rather expensive yet is helpful in alleviating pain. I did need to put a piece of lambs wool on the thumb peice as it was digging into my hand without this added comfort.

I do like the brace. I am able to do most things with it on which is very helpful. But I was hoping I’d be able to write with it. Most braces I’ve tried were so stiff it was hard to do anything with them on, let alone write. And the odor is really bad after you’ve had it on for a while, odor on it and your hand. So I do like the fact that it’s washable. Other than that, the pain in my thumb and hand IS better when I wear it. I enjoy the flexibility.

It has been quite a while (several months) since my order--the brace was just what I needed. As I recall, it seems that the order was slow to arrive, and I never got paperwork I could submit for insurance reimbursement (rather pricey for out-of-pockeet)!

The thumb support did a great job of supporting the thumbjoint and reducing pain during activity requiring use of the hands. I would have given it a 5 star rating if it had a pad along the top edge to eliminate chafing during heavy use. The use of this brace allowed my thumb to recover to full use.

I love this brace! It allows relatively free hand movement, is washable (and I can get it wet in the course of life), is easy to get on/off, and is generally comfortable but protective. I've got others that either don't feel as supportive, get wet and dirty easily (because they come up higher on my thumb in particular), and/or hurt my hand. My only problems with this BraceLab brace are: (1) the Velcro's wearing out (I've worn it and washed it a lot for almost a year, so this isn't surprising); and (2) my doctor wants me to wear a brace that extends up higher on my thumb (MCP joint?) -- but as noted above, these tend to get wet and dirty, and they tend to squeeze my thumb and hurt. If there were a way to make the outside just a bit higher (1/2-3/4 inch?), but not up onto the thumb, it might be perfect.

The brace fits well; however, it builds up sweat under the plastic peices resulting in a need for frequent cleaning.

The hand brace has been incredibly helpful for my basal joint arthritis !! The only drawback is that the Velcro doesn’t last nearly long enough, forcing me to buy a new one far too soon

The brace works well to help arthritic pain in my thumb joint, but the material in the strap is stiff and scratchy. I tend to adjust it fairly often to keep it from cutting into the top of my hand.
