I was very excited to receive my brace, and appreciated that it was received with such promptness. After suffering through many disappointments with products and services my expectations have been tempered with modesty. The great feature about this product is that you can do many activities without restriction, as it promotes itself. I was pleasantly surprised that the plastic is very malleable, almost feels like stiff leather and not plastic, but has the supportive properties of plastic. Within a day or so the brace was broken in, quicker than expected. Great support for the CMC joint and prevents the unsupported functional movements that aggravates the joint. One added bonus is that it actually seems to heal the thumb by preventing unsupported movements that inhibit healing. While I wear it most of the day I now find that when I remove it my thumb feels pain free. Just one observation I would make to the designers. While the condition from which we suffer is called Carpometcarpal arthritis, it is the metacarpal joint that experiences much of the pain upon various movements due to hyperextension sliding, and there is just so much stabilizing the CMC joint can do to prevent that pain. I just wonder if some attention can be paid to metacarpal collapse. If you don't expect complete pain relief you won't be disappointed with this quality product.

very functional brace. easy to shape, holds well, great for activity, washable. only holdback is slight chafing of edge on one side, have gotten tip to use moleskin to soften, will try. much sturdier but more open and freer for movement of rest of hand than typical braces.

Orderly a new back up devise. Very pleased with this compared to PT made option.

What a difference this brace makes. I had been wearing Futuro brand thumb stabilizer but it didn’t really help that much. This brace really targets the area at the base of the thumb where I needed the most support. Originally I ordered size 1, which rubbed my joint painfully. The exchange for size 2 was very easy and it fits perfectly. The only drawback I can think of is the color, gray. I really wish it came in black.
