I've recently transitioned from being a Software QA Engineer to a Software Engineer. Meaning I had good familiarity with things but nothing more than basic knowledge. After trying out Codecademy, Laracasts and a few other I settled on Boot.dev. The gamified approach, XP and streaks has been great for engaging me and the whole 'Armour' concept to protect streaks made me far more cautious in just blindly submitting things until I got the right answer, not really learning anything in the process. One of the best investments I've made of my Career to date and I'll be hammering my way through the back catalogue. Some more PHP materials would be great though, that's our *main jam* where I work.

The courses are well crafted and I feel like im finally really learning how to code for the first time, after many failed attempts. The courses suit my brain well and the information sticks! Previously attempts to learn felt pointless as the route they used was just telling you exactly what you needed to do to get done, which just led to me not knowing what to do when I was left to my own devices. With this course Im led to what the end goal should be and given the knowledge that is required, if I do struggle or get stuck I can simply use the tools provided. Im making tons of progress and enjoying it every step of the way.

The best programming bootcamp out there. It is really fun and keeps you engaged. The courses are well designed, and the admins listen to the community, which is a big plus for me.

The progression system is an excellent hook to keep engaged and learning. Content is clear and the challenges are great starting point for deep dives.
