Hi Dawn: All tags are mailed within 24 hours of being placed Monday thru Friday. There is no exception to this promise. You can check the mailing date by looking at the date the postage was metered on the piece. You ordered on the 12th and the tag was mailed on the 13th. Of course we have zero control over the service a given piece of mail we post receives, and during Covid mail has been slow, but by-in-large the USPS does an excellent job of getting our customers tags to them in a timely manner. Long live the USPS! Sincerely, Don

Regarding the issue of text readability: No ID tag leaves our shop without text that can be read. Our emphasis is, always has been, and always will be, text that will remain legible over time. We must engrave the text deeply into stainless steel, a very hard metal. To accomplish this we use a diamond under high pressure, the result is text that will never wear off your pet's tag. If a pet with one of our CollarTags™ goes missing, ten years after the tag is installed on the pet's collar, its finder will still be able to read the owner's contact information. There is no other method we could employ to accomplish this kind of long term text readability, if there was I would, of course, use it. Laser "engraved" text results in bolder letters, but they go away in short order. I have had customers who have purchased tags that are laser "engraved" tell me the text was no longer legible after just 2 months on their dog's collar. What matters is not what the tag looks like when you receive it, what matters is: Can the finder of your lost pet read the text and contact you? If your pet has one of our CollarTags™ on its collar you will be able to rest assured they will be able to read your contact information. The text on the CollarTag™ you received from us guaranteed to remain legible for the life of the pet the tag was purchased for, and it will.
