Obtained and shared my personal data without consent
The truth about this company needs to be known, they flagged my initial review for removal despite everything I stated beinga fact. I have never once consented to this company aquiring or distribuiting my personal data. I use multple paid services to ensure my data is not misused or shared without consent. Incogni a reputable data protection service brought to my attention that they were sharing my data without my consent. Incogni has made requests on my behalf to have my information removed, which this company has yet to compky with. I have also personally requested that they remove my information via their opt out section, but no response recieved. As a european citizen, its a direct violation of GDPR not to comply with my request. This is an absolutely honest review of my experience with this company. I have never used their services nor have I have consented to my information being shared like so. The have flagged thsi review for defamation. The very definition of this word is "Defamation is the act of communicating a false statement about a person or business that harms their good reputation." Absolutlely nothing I have stated here is falsley claimed. I am happy tp provide trust pilot with the nescessary evidence to back up my claim if needed. Subscribing to Incogni however was the best decision I have ever made with regards to protecting my data. I have also made a report to the Data Protection Commission.

Thank you for the extra detail. I will keep this to how our process works, because discussing an individual's record in public would itself disclose personal information. When a removal request reaches us through a privacy service, the address goes onto our permanent exclusion list at the moment the request arrives. That happens whether or not we held a matching record in the first place, which is why an address can be excluded even when there was nothing to delete. We answer those requests back through the same privacy service that sent them, rather than writing to the individual, because writing directly would mean emailing someone who has asked not to be contacted by us. The side effect is that the confirmation sits with the service. If their dashboard has not recorded it, it can look from your side as though nothing was done. Our own opt out form also asks you to confirm by email before the request completes. If that confirmation is never opened, the request stays open and you would not hear anything further. If you send the reference your privacy service gave you to [email protected], we will check it and reply in writing with what we found and what we did. If we have got something wrong, we would rather find it and fix it than argue about it. Best Regards, BookYourData Privacy Team
