Book Writing LeagueReviews of bookwritingleague.com

Do not use this "scam" agency. Detailed and documented experience (my last email). Avoid them. Contract not delivered, kept the money. 1. Almost nine months into this project, with poor to no results. All work was driven by me. 2. None of my concerns are ever answered. 3. Calls/emails asking for more money for extended marketing (2k to 5k) when book issues remain unresolved. 4. Proof issue. You called and said proofs are part of the process, and if the proof had errors, they would be addressed. Proof delivered, no page numbers, gaps between paragraphs and sentences. You blamed me and said you require more money to fix. 5.Incorrect set-up of Amazon/Kindle account by your agency. My email and phone number are what was required, yet Joshua used my email but not my phone number, and you (the agency) had no idea what number he used. Unforgivable. 6. Incorrect posting of Title on Amazon, and not using the summary blurb I provided for the back of the book. Three tries to correct. 7. Incorrect editing, using AI, incorrectly changing words, tenses and meanings. I was forced to edit and review my own work - 2 months of my own time because of your errors. 8. Editorial review - first response, not my chapter titles, but some of my characters in the scenes, no human would do that - again AI? Second review, incorrect, using epilogue scene as the opening chapter??? 9. I provided the book cover, and all you did was change it into a pdf. format. As for the manuscript, you basically changed it from one word document into another. This is what I received for 3999.00 USD. 10. Started a fraud case with credit card company, and the money is gone. The merchant and their bank is uncooperative. 11. Please do not use these people. They lie, oversell, make promises and they do not care. I asked for honesty, integrity, and open communication. They were polite and said they stand behind their work. Once they have the money, then you realize they have completely lied to you. As other reviewers have posted, they experienced the same problems. Fraud at its worst. I believe in karma, and they will pay for their deception and thievery. I stand by this review, and have kept all email correspondence and text messages for record purposes.

I wrote several months ago, and I have had my share of frustration and failure on the part of the BWL. But. they did finally get my book published. It’s been over 3 months since the initial publication and there were problems that had to be straightened out. The initial publication was flawed, and cut out 2 of my 21 paintings. Well they fixed that problem, but, they have an annoying habit of when they fix one problem, they invariably cause several other problems. The paintings had been digitally altered so that the original proportions were not correct. So, they republished, again, but still had problems! Fortunately they switched me to working with Sierra, and she finally fixed the problems. Now, it’s taken 3 and a half months to get it right, but they finally did. But up to this point all of the books that were bought were flawed, and I did not want to sell messed up books. I’ve also had some issues with my original editor, David, with payments of $1054, and another of $250, that I would like to know just where and what those payments actually went for, because they did not do what I was told would be done with either. There’s no transparency here. But, I do have to admit that due to Sierra’s consummate professionalism, that they finally have published all 3 versions of my book. Though it’s taken 11 months and $2000 more than it was supposed to, and it took 3 attempts at publication, to finally get it done correctly! It’s definitely been a mixed bag!!

They were great! I finally got my book published! They handled everything for me through Amazon KDP. Whenever I had any kind of issues with my book, they were quick to fix it for me! The girl that helped me with my book was Sierra Rustyn and she was very nice and friendly and very, very helpful! I couldn’t have done it without them! If you need a book publisher, I would definitely recommend them!

I have been associated with BWL for several months and have shelled out many $$$$$$. To date nothing has happened. I read some of the 5-Star reviews and I am prone to think that these are AI produced. I sympathize with the 1-Star reviews. I am very disappointed in the outcome of my association with this company. The word SCAM comes to mind, Just BEWARE!!!!

I would have never thought a year ago when I dreamed of this story that it would realize into my first published novella! The entire team has been great but especially Josh and Christopher. The patience they showed me and the care to my project is greatly appreciated. I'm sure there were times when I got on their nerves, but they never showed it, lol. Now onto continue my new career as a published author. This is just the beginning.

I started trying to get my book published and reached out to this company. I was promised a lot of different things and when it came down to getting everything finalized I was advised by the many different people being assigned to me that none of the items I was talking about were not included. Every time I talked to them I was told that I had to pay extra this and that. Nothing was never told to me at the beginning. Always adding more and more as time went on. I was given 4 different account managers and once I got the copy write done (myself)I was given yet another account manager, Jay Cooper. He was able to finally get my book published. He was th only person who did this, two years later. He did a good job.

My degree of satisfaction and trust is demonstrated by the fact that I intend to publish more with him in the future. The procedure is straightforward open and trustworthy for anyone who is apprehensive due to the abundance of scams. Michael deserves praise.

My confidence in the publishing process has been genuinely restored by working with Rae Donnelly. Rae distinguished herself right away with her openness professionalism and sincere concern for my project in a field that regrettably has a lot of frauds and false promises. She honored all of my instructions took the time to fully comprehend my vision and ensured that my voice stayed genuine throughout. All of the promised services were provided precisely as described. The entire writing process was well planned seamless and far simpler than I had anticipated.
