I have submitted my manuscript to them about a month ago. I was promised that they would edit the book, work on book cover and publish to platforms for sale. Nevertheless, Richard Garate has not made contact with me in 3 weeks. They have taken my funds and have not finished my project. They are not answering my calls or email. Dont trust them they take your money and disappear.

"Warning: Publishing Scam Alert – Book Writing House"
Title: Is $46,500 for these publishing services normal? My experience with Book Writing House
I was quoted the following for two books (Chinese & English versions):
· Deluxe Publishing Package: $2,000
· Advanced Linguistic Refinement & Narrative Recalibration: $2,650
· Book Ownership Protection: $5,500
· Dual-language AI Audiobook Protection: $12,500
· 2-month Pre-launch Marketing Campaign: $15,000
· Co-Author Registration (for my son Steven): $8,800
· Total: ~$46,450
Here's what I discovered:
1. "Book Ownership Protection" for $5,500
In the US, copyright is automatic upon creation. Formal registration with the US Copyright Office costs 125. This is a fabricated service with a 100x markup.
2. "Co-Author Registration" for $8,800
This doesn't exist. There is no legal registration for "co-authors." They made this up.
3. "AI Audiobook Protection" for $12,500
Audiobook rights don't require "protection" fees. This is another invented charge.
4. High-pressure sales tactics
Every payment came with "you must pay now or lose this discount" pressure.
5. Fake legitimacy signals
They claim to have worked on books they had nothing to do with. AI exposed them in ways they couldn't defend against.
What happened:
I questioned them about these charges. They charged my credit card without authorization anyway. I contacted my bank, filed a dispute, and recovered every single dollar. I paid nothing in the end.

WARNING TO AUTHORS
WARNING TO AUTHORS
My experience with this company network has been an absolute nightmare, resulting in a loss of over $200,000 for publishing, marketing, and promotional services that were never delivered as promised. Based on my direct financial dealings and investigation, Book Writing House, Torres Publishers, Olympus Book Publishers, Ghost Book Hub, Seed Spire Publishing, Degiration Design Agency, Forbes Publishing House, and Amazon Publishing Partners all operate as an interconnected network under parent and billing entities such as Trade Hub Solutions LLC, Innovation LLC, and Global Softsol. Representatives including Grace Adams, Rachel Murphy, and Jason Carter continuously solicited high-ticket payments under false pretenses. Specifically, Jason Carter approached me claiming to represent Forbes via an entity called Forbes Publishing House, despite actually working for this same underlying firm with no official affiliation or listing on legitimate Forbes sites. They repeatedly used fake pitches for secured coverage with major outlets like Forbes and Oprah to extract more money, and outright lied about refund policies. Once you figure out their real identity and confront them about who they actually are, they cut off contact and stop responding to your emails entirely. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and state Attorney General offices are now actively investigating this case. Because these individuals and entities are operating within the United States, regulatory and law enforcement action is coming directly to where they operate. Do your research, verify all media claims independently, and do not trust this operation.

AVOID! I cannot recommend Book Writing House
I cannot recommend Book Writing House. They failed to complete publishing on all of the platforms I paid for. Very sloppy project management. No matter how many times I requested all contracted deliverables, I received excuses instead, embodied in "Thank you for your patience" emails. Their editing services were great, but quickly lapsed into vanity publishing trickery, instead of honestly guiding me through the indie publishing process. They were close to receiving a 4 or 5-star rating, but failed. I don't understand how a company can continue to operate under such practices.

Scammers! Scam, scam, scam.
Scammers. Avoid! The deeper I vetted the more fake they became. Insisted on NDA. Insisted relentlessly that I pay upfront with no refunds or pro-rata. Could not provide employee names. Skated around questions. Reviews and testimonials fake. What they boast on the website does NOT match the small measly contract-- their T&C actually state the opposite in fine print. References also fake. They claim to have worked on projects but they are making false statements and claims about the books they've worked on. AI really ousted them in ways they could not and would not defend. If you value your manuscript do not even share or enter a verbal agreement or they'd hold you to it. Save your money and avoid BWH at all costs. Address listed in CA as a PMB virtual mailbox with registration in Mass. and a virtual # listed in VA. There's nothing real about them. They spelled my name wrong in the contract. They're very good at seeming real and they really do have a great sales pitch. But they claimed other publishers, well known in USA were the actual scammers. I bet they change their name after this review.

They are scammers
I wish I could give zero stars. This company completely took advantage of me. As a first-time author, I trusted them with my book and paid $599 — which is a huge amount for me — but they delivered nothing of real value.
I had already designed and prepared my book myself. All they did was take my file and publish it on Kindle, even though I specifically told them I did not want digital publishing. I asked them to adjust the book’s price, but they ignored my request. They also claimed they would set up an IngramSpark account for me, collected all my personal details, yet never gave me access to it.
When I bought my own copies of the book from Amazon, the money never came back to me. I have no idea where do that money go.In short, they offered no real support, misled me at every step, and took my money without fulfilling their promises.
This was an awful experience, and I strongly warn others: never choose this company. They are frauds.
