BOOKSIE IS A SCAM SITE DONT UPLOAD YOUR WORK.
My name on the the site is TheMasterInDisguise. Everything was going perfect and there was no problems until I uploaded one chapter of my story that I write as a hobby. ONE CHAPTER. I upload it but I get a random feeling I should bury my name in it just in case it gets stolen. I AM SO GLAD I DID. THE MINUTE I UPLOADED MY WORK, IT KICKED ME OUT OF MY ACCOUNT (which I thought was just a bug) SO I TRIED TO LOGIN AND IT SAID THE PAGE WASNT WORKING AND IT OCULDNT HANDLE MY REQUEST. THEN I LOOKED FOR MY WORK ON THE SITE (without being logged in) AND THERE WAS NO OPTIONS. THEN I SEARCHED FOR MY USER AND THERE WAS NO OPTIONS. DONT NOT USE THIS SCAM SITE.

BOOKSIE IS A DISGUSTING SITE! BOOKSIE DELETED MY ACCOUNT FOR SUPPORTING THE PALESTINIANS IN GAZA!
Booksie.com is a DISGUSTING, BIASED WRITING SITE that deleted my account for supporting the Palestinian population in Gaza! This is unforgivable! Please DO NOT EVER USE BOOKSIE!
Their site is littered with fake spam accounts half the time and their moderators are biased and play favoritism constantly. A number of their site's routes to try to locate and find certain writing within their database doesn't even work and never has for YEARS! Some of their share links have been broken for an extended period. Their B.O.B. WRITING ASSISTANT IS BROKEN HALF THE TIME (according to a number of users on the site and its a premium feature at that). Their site is a hollow shell of its once former glory days. DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME CREATING AN ACCOUNT OR UPLOADING ON BOOKSIE. Its nothing but a trash writing site. I am so utterly beyond disgusted with BOOKSIE! Their whole site is atrocious and unprofessional!
I even witnessed in the forums the site administrator being very rude and short with a paying patron whom was generally concerned regarding their contest results on a writing contest that were delayed and nothing was announced regarding the delay. I am extremely angry regarding this horrific site! I hope they get shutdown eventually as their customer service, site administration and moderators are beyond redemption at this point.
BEWARE THIS SITE! THEY WILL DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT FOR TRIVIAL, RIDICULOUS REASONS (OR FOR NO REASON AT ALL) AND THEY ARE HORRIFIC! STAY FAR AWAY FROM BOOKSIE AT ALL COSTS!

I joined booksie for a while under the…
I joined booksie for a while under the pen-name "Lewis-Berneu" but I found that the text editor on that site was silently deleting part of the text I'd uploaded - making a nonsense of what I'd posted.
I don't think this is acceptable for this kind of website.
When I asked for advice from the admins I got a meaningless response.
I suggest people steer clear. There are better sites for online self-publishing.
Please note: I am referring to booksie.com the self-publishing site. This is unrelated to booksi.com the hotel booking site. Don't get them confused!

Feeling like a fool for scam like this
I responded to a Booksi Vacation for Hotel Indigo Downtown Atlanta offer for $59 for 3 nights, thinking if it's too good to be true, $59 is not much to gamble on. I was wrong.
I paid $96.83 for it upfront ($59 +$9 advance booking +$28.83 booking fee). Following the link on the email from Booksi, I tried to book for the dates that I want but the hotel was not available. I called for assistance, as directed by the website. The assisted agent told me that if I move the first date to one day later, then the hotel would be available. After a very lengthy vetting on personal information (to qualify for the deal, as I was told by this agent), I was told to pay an additional $163.50 ($150 refundable for incidental and $13.50 for booking on line). She also advised me that the deal came with having to attend the 120 mins timeshare presentation, which I had no idea since the advertisement didn't mention any of that. For not agreeing to it, I either have to reschedule for a different time or forfeit my money. At this point, I don't see any saving but since I already committed to the trip and not wanting to divulge my personal information over again for future booking, I went ahead paid the additional $163.50.
When the confirmation letter came, the hotel was no longer the Hotel Indigo but became Club Wyndham Atlanta Resort. The email advised me that I'll be paying an additional $69.49 for taxes after I confirm the reservation and $165 for parking fee upon arrival. From this email, I also learned that the $150 refundable incidental would not be crediting back to my credit card, as hotels usually do. Instead, a master card reward of $150 would be issued, after attending the presentation. If I don't confirm the reservation and don't attend the presentation, I will lose my money or pay full price for the resort (which I did not sign up for).
So the $59 deal ended up costing me $269.33 so far. If keeping the deal, I'll have to stay at a resort hotel that I didn't intend to spend time at, spend 2 hours listening to sale presentation, and pay an additional $234.49. That brings to a total of $503.82, plus providing too much personal information.
I called back the support number to confirm what I saw so far and let them know how frustrated the deal has became. I told him that I felt cheated and misled and don't want to continue with the deal. I even offered to lose the $96.83 but want the refundable incidental back. He offered more vacation deals in the future, which I declined, and promised to call back within an hour after talking to his supervisor. He never did call back.
I called back and was told that it was my fault that I didn't spot the fine writing when responding to the ad. I went ahead and posted the review online, which generated several calls from Booksi, all offer more deals in the future, and let me know that it was my responsibility to find the fine print on the Booksi website link, which I didn't see on the ad. Later on, Booksi responded to the rating online, promised to refund 100% of my cost. The costs came off my credit card a day later. Feeling appreciated, I acknowledge their effort in the same post, but received other emails asking a four or five stars rating. When I didn't respond, the charges reappeared on my credit card on 8/26, which should be illegal.
At this point, I am working with my credit card company to dispute the charges and hope that it's succesful. If not, I will not stop here.

BOOKSIE is a trash website! BEWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM BOOKSIE. Hopefully they SHUT DOWN!
BOOKSIE is a trash site! Complete and utter trash! Beware and stay FAR AWAY from this site! I truly hope that their site gets shut down. They are a disgusting and pathetic excuse for a writing community.
Ive recently noticed that Booksie's site moderators continue to let certain writers upload writing that is completely inappropriate and should be reported and removed on grounds of discrimination.
One example: Booksie has continuously let one particular writer (amongst a selective number of others) upload writing that refers to the LGBTQ+ community as 'sexual perversions', that they are 'going to hell' and that they are an 'abomination in the sight of GOD', amongst many other horrific adjectives and accusations.
How on earth do the moderators condone this type of conduct on their site yet completely delete and close the account of others who hardly do anything disdainful?
ON ANY OTHER, AND I MEAN ANY OTHER, WRITING SITE THIS TYPE OF CONTENT WOULD HAVE BEEN REPORTED AND DELETED AND THE ACCOUNT IN QUESTION WOULD HAVE BEEN DELETED WITHOUT QUESTION! (Unless the moderators themselves approve of this type of content? One has to wonder after viewing this type of content that continues to remain on their site for all to read.)
As well, this site lets many other authors leave up writing that includes erotica/sex and extreme violence. Yet, they say that they cater their site to users as young as 12 or 13. REALLY? HOW IS THAT NOW? BOOKSIE CAN'T EVEN MODERATE THEIR OWN USER'S INAPPROPRIATE WORKS. In some of these cases, I suspect favoritism, however it's only a theory. (Perhaps its because their other site shut down that allowed such material. What an absolute disgusting joke!)
DESPICABLE! This site is TRASH! Absolute and total trash!
Hopefully, this message gets through to others to warn them, as I have noticed that their site traffic has suffered considerably since the debacle of their other two sites last year (Next Big Writer and Booksiesilk).
I truly do hope eventually that their site gets shut down! They are a terrible site. Time shall tell.

DO NOT ENTER CREDIT CARD!! I wish I could give negative stars…
I wish I could give negative stars instead of one star. This site makes it sound like you're getting a great deal. I would make the purchase but I wanted to speak to an actual person first. NO WAY TO DO THAT! NO PHONE NUMBER!?! NO ACTUAL EMAIL RESPONSE?!? They don't want my money bad enough. "BOOKSIE" is a scam!!! Save your money.

Warning of Bad Booksie habit
A good platform spoilt by the Booksie habit of closing account without reason or warning thus authors work is effectively destroyed.
