I can highly recommend BN. It does what it is supposed to do. The support is awsome - if you have a suggestion or feel that a feature is missing - just drop a line to the support and they will most likely add it.
I was missing an interface, where you can tell the ai to revise certain parts of a generated chapter without re-generating it completely. Ticket sent to support, few hours later I got the reply that revision instruction for chapters are now available. Wow, thanks for the super support.

Great product!
Great product!
I was a little sceptical when I first purchased Booknova, but after playing around with it for a while found it really useful. Any issues I had were quickly sorted by the founder of the company, too, which is always appreciated.
The Launch Kit is great for promotional images too, and it was very easy to download the correct files in order to publish my debut novel earlier this week.
I would highly recommend this product, particularly since customer service is so prompt and helpful.

Thank you so much! And yes, we went through quite a few tickets together before I got everything working exactly the way it should. We polished the files together too, step by step, until they were exactly what you needed for publishing. Thank you for your patience, and for sticking with it even though you started out sceptical.
Huge congratulations on publishing your debut novel and on your first sales! I’m really happy BookNova got to be part of it.
My mission isn’t quite accomplished yet, honestly it’s only just beginning. But I’d love for us to fly together from here. 🙂

Disappointing and does not live up to its claims
I put in all my prompts. I have the story basically written - a great synopsis. I provided all the information, following their rules for filling things out. Then it proceeded to spill out the first chapter of a psychological thriller by revealing all the plot twists immediately. It also messed up all the family connections by adding last names that didn't make sense (like brothers not sharing the same last name, even though the program knew they were brothers). I feel like this could eventually be a great tool. But I spent more time trying to revise the first chapter, having it regenerate, offering fixes, and it was still all wrong. I had huge hopes for this site, but I'll be cancelling my subscription after only one chapter because it would have taken me less time to write it myself than it is taking to fix all the errors BookNova is creating.

Hi,
Thank you for the detailed review. One thing matters for anyone reading this: you bought BookNova, generated one chapter of one book, and never used its CORE PRODUCT (Auto Mode) at all.
BookNova’s main product is idea to finished book. You give it your idea or synopsis, and Auto mode plans the whole novel and writes a complete, publish-ready book. That’s what our homepage describes and what most authors use.
You went straight to Sail Mode instead. Sail isn’t mentioned anywhere on our website and isn’t something we advertise. I built it for our author community, who asked for a powerful chapter-by-chapter writer they could steer themselves. In Sail you give the direction for each chapter and decide in which chapter each secret comes out. When the full synopsis, twists included, goes into the first chapter, Sail treats all of it as what happens now. That’s why the twists landed in chapter one.
The same goes for the surnames. In Auto mode, family connections and names are checked automatically, because the whole process is automated. In Sail the author is in control of everything, including the established facts about each character, which you can review and correct in the Story world panel.
For a psychological thriller built from a finished synopsis, Auto is the tool to use. It plans the whole book first, then writes every chapter through our Story Thread Engine. The engine tracks every subplot from setup to payoff, keeps a live record of who knows what and what has been revealed, plants foreshadowing early and pays it off later, and handles thriller red herrings so twists arrive where they belong. Characters, relationships and family names stay consistent from the first page to the last. After writing, a separate plot-twist audit pass checks the finished book so the killer isn’t revealed in chapter four.
Your refund was issued in full right away. I’m genuinely sorry you never got to try the core of the product. Your Story Bible was strong, and in Auto mode it would have given you an excellent thriller. It was simply the wrong mode for the job.

Excellent customer service, with clear answers and fast fixes
I’ve had an excellent experience with BookNova’s customer support. After editing my manuscript outside the platform and uploading it again, I needed help updating the chapter outline and understanding how my changes would affect a future sequel.
Zigmars checked my book, explained the limitations honestly, and gave me clear instructions for updating the outline and carrying the revised story details into the next book.
I also encountered a PDF formatting bug that placed chapter numbers at the end of the preceding chapters. Within an hour of reporting it, Zigmars identified the cause, fixed the upload bug, and removed the stray lines from my manuscript while preserving my edited text.
The speed, personal attention, and willingness to take responsibility were outstanding. Everything I raised was addressed to my satisfaction. One of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
Thank you, Zigmars!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this!
That chapter number bug was on our side, so I’m really glad I caught it fast and your edits came through untouched. Reports like yours are exactly how BookNova gets better, so thank you for flagging it so clearly.
I’m excited to see where your story goes in the sequel. If anything else comes up along the way, just reach out.

BookNova is great, excellent support
I’ve really enjoyed using BookNova and would happily recommend it to anyone who has ideas for a book but would like some help bringing those ideas together into a complete story.
One of the things I particularly like about BookNova is that it works with what you give it. You’re still very much involved in the creative process, with plenty of input and control over the direction of the story. It feels like a tool that helps you develop and organise your ideas rather than taking over and, importantly, the finished story still feels like your own.
I’ve also been very impressed with the support from Zigmars, the owner and founder. Whenever I’ve submitted a support ticket, he has been responsive and helpful. Recently, I suggested adding folders so that books in a series could be grouped together, and completed or inactive projects could be archived without having to delete them. My main reason was simply to keep the main workspace clean and organised.
Zigmars responded to the suggestion very quickly, and the folder feature was added soon afterwards. It has turned out to be a popular addition, which says a lot about how closely he listens to the people actually using the program.
BookNova is a terrific product, but excellent support and a developer who genuinely listens to his users make it even better.
Thank you, Zigmars. I really appreciate both the program and the work you continue to put into improving it.
Response from BooknovaOct 10, 2026
The folders were your idea, and they turned out to be one of the most useful suggestions I’ve had through support. Lots of authors use them now to keep their series together, so a good share of the credit goes to you.
What you said about the story still feeling like your own means a lot to me. That’s exactly what I want BookNova to be: something that helps you shape your ideas, not something that takes them over.
Keep the suggestions coming. I read every one of them.

AI Writing With the Author Still in the Driver's Seat
I've been using BookNova to develop several fiction projects, and I've been genuinely impressed by both the program and the support behind it.
What I especially appreciate about BookNova is that it doesn't simply ask for a prompt and hand you a completed novel. It steps you through the process of developing the book—from the initial concept and Story Bible through planning and drafting the chapters. The Story Bible is easy to edit as characters and ideas develop, and the generated text itself is just as easy to change, rewrite, or redirect. That flexibility lets me stay actively involved in shaping the story rather than simply accepting whatever the AI generates.
I've also been extremely impressed by the level of support. Zigmars Berzins is the founder and sole developer (at this time), and when I've submitted detailed tickets about issues I've encountered, he hasn't just sent a canned response. He has looked into what happened, explained it, and in several cases made changes to the program based on that feedback.
That responsiveness extends to the BookNova Skool community as well. Zigmars regularly posts updates about what he's working on and personally answers questions—particularly those that require a deeper understanding of how the system works. There's a real sense that he's listening to the people who are actually using BookNova and continuing to improve it based on their experiences.
For me, BookNova has become a very useful way to take the stories and characters in my head and actually get them onto the page while still allowing me to be involved throughout the writing process. And knowing that the person developing the program is so accessible and receptive to feedback makes the experience even better.

Thank you so much for this wonderful review, it truly made my day. “The author still in the driver’s seat” is the best description of BookNova I’ve ever read, and I might have to borrow it. :)
Detailed tickets like yours are the best thing a solo developer can ask for. When someone explains exactly what happened, I can find the real cause instead of guessing, and that’s how most of those fixes made it into the program.
See you in the Skool community, and thank you for being such a thoughtful part of it.

Thank you so much to Mr Zigmars
Thank you so much to Mr Zigmars. I had a minor issue with part of the output from the programme, and it made such a nice change to actually get a real reply with guidance rather than a stock copy-and-paste from the Q and A section. Almost seems hypocritical considering we are using Ai!!!!! lol
Response from BooknovaOct 10, 2026
Thank you so much, Richard! You’re right, the irony isn’t lost on me. 😄 The AI writes the books, but when something goes wrong, you get the human. I think that’s a fair split.
I’m glad the issue got sorted, and if anything else comes up, you know there’s a real person on the other end. :DDD

Amazing support, fantastic tool!
I have been using this tool for a few months now and it has been absolutely amazing in helping me to publish my ideas into real books. I even have one of them live as an audio book now as well!
The tool is brilliant, but what stands out even more for me is the care and support from the Booknova team. I had a problem today with the PDF generation hyphenating and wrapping some lines. I raised a support ticket and within a few hours they had responded and actually updated the interface with a new toggleable option that addressed my preference and still maintained the old method for people who preferred that. Unbelievable attention and support.
Working on a couple more books right now and absolutely loving it!
Response from BooknovaOct 10, 2026
Thank you so much for this lovely review! And congratulations on the audiobook, that’s no small thing.
Your hyphenation ticket was a great catch. Instead of just changing it for everyone, I made it a switch, so you get clean lines and the authors who liked the old method keep theirs. That’s the kind of fix I like most, where one person’s suggestion makes the tool better for everyone.
Enjoy writing the next couple of books, and keep the ideas coming!
