The overall experience was really good and was a nice way to have a holiday event for those of us who work remotely in different parts of the country. One of the puzzles was a little too easy, and then there was one that had us stumped but overall fun was had!

We have an international team and were super excited to come across Bookelevent as they had the capability to ship items internationally for our team to participate. On the site for the activity we selected, they had that international shipping would cost an additional $100 per participant. I have now received an invoice anywhere from 140 to 270 PER PERSON to ship a shirt to. Several employees are also sharing they need to pay customs fees as well around $120 to get the package. I have no idea how this was shipped but including the cost of the program some of our employees, we are paying over $500 to get a shirt. Their customer service just responded saying that the fees vary despite it still being listed on several program sites. The saga continues, one of our packages never made it (US based) to an employee, they are now charging $200 to reissue the package, but only insured it for $30 with Fedex. So we are now out of those funds as well. We have done multiple virtual parties over the last few years and will never use Elevent again. UPDATE: I will say that the customer service person that they escalated the issue to did help to cover some of the costs for the international shipping which I greatly appreciate and recognize that they are trying to do the right thing. The person facilitating the program also agreed to not charge the $200 rush fee as well. Due to this, I will give an extra star back, however, the time and stress this created for me was not worth it.

Hi Heather, I just reached out to you and please feel free to email me to help rectify this order ([email protected]). I believe from our previous email conversations that the international shipping issues have been resolved. As we had discussed while we have many listings that have different shipping costs and policies the one you purchased did not say $100/person, as shown on the shipping policy and order policies which are stamped on the order and included on your order confirmation email sent to you at the time of purchase. We do have many similar events and I can understand how they could have been mistakenly mixed up. Given that misunderstanding we did refund you for the difference between the actual shipping cost for your event to all your countries and the $100/person flat to any destination you had expected. I believe that has since been resolved now where you paid in international shipping what you expected ($100/person) and Elevent subsidized the actual shipping cost to your guests destinations but please let me know if not. However, the $200 charge to reissue a package I am not seeing any charge for that through Elevent. I do see a replacement domestic shipment that was express shipped to one of your guests to ensure it arrived in time for the event but there should not have been a charge for that and there wasn't one through Elevent. Can you help me find where that charge occurred if it was off platform so I can get it rectified for you? You would not be responsible for that cost with one of our events. We absolutely loved our Around the World holiday party! My team had so much fun. We were laughing non-stop, learned a lot about holiday traditions and about each other too. We've got an international team so the theme was perfect for us! Highly recommend and will book again.
