Do your due diligence before hiring…
Do your due diligence before hiring this company. Mine cost me $19,000 for one appointment. I hired this firm to run paid search and gave them a single, clearly specified requirement: target a 30-mile radius around my main location. That is not what they did. They set the campaign to the entire Nielsen DMA for Des Moines, IA — a broadcast media region covering most of central Iowa, well beyond anything I asked for. This demonstrated that they aren't listening, or can't communicate instructions to whoever they're farming this out to, or both. They were buying a reach of 2.8 million people, roughly four times the population of the area I actually specified. I flagged the error. It was not corrected. I flagged it a second time. It was still not corrected. When I finally received an explanation of how the campaign was set up, the explanation itself was incorrect. The results were exactly what you'd expect from a campaign pointed at the wrong geography.I prepaid a $10,000 management fee (BIG mistake) and spent $9,251 in ad spend — $19,251 total — for three local leads and one appointment. That is roughly $6,400 per lead and over $19,000 for a single deal. The refund process has followed the same pattern. I asked for a partial refund, knowing they're under no obligation to do so, thinking, maybe Ben will do the right thing since such an egregious error was made. I requested a refund on July 27. After a week of silence, on August 3 I was told, "I haven't forgotten, will get to this today post-meetings." As I write this on August 11, I have heard nothing further. I'm not writing this out of frustration — I'm writing it so the next business evaluating this company has the information I didn't. Read the independent reviews before you sign. I wish I had.
