Scam operation
Scam operation, took our $500 deposit and never followed through
Response from Bluewater LendingJul 22, 2025
Normally, we let our work and client results speak for themselves, but when someone fabricates a lie under a fake name, silence is not an option. This review was submitted under the name “Edgar Morales.” In reality, this is a fake identity created by an individual we identified as Jeff Wheeler, who falsely claimed we took a $500 deposit and failed to deliver. After a full audit of our CRM, our payment processor, and internal records, we confirmed that no such client exists, and no payment was ever received under that name. But based on the timing and the message trail, we matched it to Jeff. He booked a call like any prospect. As part of our process, we asked for a simple verification step, standard protocol to confirm authenticity and avoid bots or spam and wasted slots on our calendar. Instead of verifying, he responded with profanity, insulted our team, mocked our process, and refused to follow basic steps. Despite that, we remained professional and explained why the step was required. When it became clear we couldn't continue respectfully, we cancelled the appointment and disqualified him from moving forward. He then threatened to leave a negative review. 30 minutes later, this fake review appeared. This review is not legitimate. The identity used does not exist in our system, and the claim is not based on any actual client experience. To maintain transparency, we’ve published a public video breaking down the entire situation — including: A CRM search proving “Edgar Morales” is not in our database Conversation of Jeff Wheeler’s aggressive and disrespectful messages (censuring personal info) Documented timestamps of his review threats, proving the review's intent A full screen-recording of our merchant account, showing how we issue refunds when we can’t deliver (you’ll see dozens done every month) The fact that he was never granted a consultation, not even a free Zoom call This is a false defamation attempt, and we’re setting the record straight. In fact, we’re one of the few companies that disqualifies leads before they pay if we know we can't deliver. 🎥 HERE’S THE VIDEO WITH PROOF & BREAKDOWN: https://www.loom.com/share/1836c0ad2a7d40728eab621000aed8f9?sid=5afb5ce9-12b8-4eed-b12a-4a4e9ac0ec1a 📁 HERE’S THE GOOGLE DRIVE FOLDER WITH SCREENSHOTS & EVIDENCE: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1f7p31R-YPvBvb9PRZMj9j8mdasVIF2fm?usp=sharing (All sensitive info blurred for privacy. The facts speak for themselves.) For business owners reading this: We’ve helped hundreds of clients secure 0% APR business funding. The reason we’ve had zero bad reviews until now is simple: ✅ We don’t charge if we can’t help ✅ We refund if something prevents us from delivering ✅ We only work with people we can confidently serve, and we’re upfront about that from day one We’re proud of our process. We protect our people. And we don’t stay quiet when someone uses a fake name to try to smear our reputation out of ego. This wasn’t a real client. This came from someone who couldn’t handle a polite “no” — and chose dishonesty over professionalism. If you’re a serious entrepreneur who wants results and is committed to respect, we’re here to help. If not, we wish you the best elsewhere. Matt Stine, CEO – Bluewater Lending P.S: Dear Jeff Wheeler, if you’re reading this, know that we are initiating legal action for defamation, false accusations, and the use of a fake identity to damage our business. This matter is now in the hands of our legal counsel. Your review violates Trustpilot’s policies and FTC guidelines. We will be reporting this accordingly. You have 24 hours to remove this fabricated review before we escalate further. We don’t take this lightly. People who weaponize false reviews must be held accountable , and we will make sure of it. We will defend our truth. We will protect our team. And we will pursue justice to the fullest extent.
