Took my cat Sadie there Saturday evening didn't get seen till 7hours later at 130am. Said Sadie must have fell and hurt herself. Didn't even do blood work, just gave me pain medicine for Sadie and said give it 10days. Monday Sadie was in worse shape took her to a different veterinary clinic. They did blood work right away, found Sadie was in kidney failure and blood in urine. Had to put Sadie to sleep. If blue pearl would have done their job better and testing I wouldn't have been upset becauseof the pain Sadie was in. But I would never go back to that Blue Pearl and I would not recommend Blue Pearl to anyone who has a sick pet.
Update Blue Pearl claims i was offered blood work by the nurses and the dr. Which was a complete lie. Not once was i ever offered blood work for my cat. The Dr only offered mri and exray and said probablywont help out, which I did deny after sitting there for 7hours. I never once seen a nutse or talked to a nurse about anything offered to me for my beloved pet. Again I would not ever take a pet there for any kind of issues, with the lies and no explanation on anything besides what I post earlier.

Blue Pearl just wants your money. They don't care if your pet lives or dies.
Blue Pearl quoted me $6,000 for a surgery that another clinic quoted as less than $2,000. I looked them up, and no surprise- they're a private equity-backed cash grab. Their priority is maximizing shareholder profits, not caring for pets. This is an *evil* company- what kind of people extort people who are afraid for their pet? Blue Pearl and other private equity vet clinics should be shut down and the money they stole returned to the clients they ripped off.

Trust no more
They said they would let me know if my furkid condition changed. I called at 10 pm, they were rounding and said they would call after rounds. No call. According to their notes. At midnight her condition changed… no call. 2-2:30 she went into cardiac arrest. Note says they called me. I never got a call until 4:30. WTF. All they care about is money. Very sad, I expect more from people that care for animals. Never again.

Overcharged and no explanation of cost…
Overcharged and no explanation of cost before explaining what you had already done or actual service. Blue Pearl built plan without cost associated and held us hostage to a $4600 invoice before we left building @ 1:30 a.m. These folks are scam artist knowing you cannot refuse their services because they've already done them. BluePearl recognizes if you are there with your pet you will spend emotional money even displaying material with financing information knowing they are stealing from pet parents in trauma with their pet's.

Their $$ Game is so Obvious
I took my dog there because she was up all night with diarrhea. The vet was so obvious in his effort to encourage add-on diagnostics, to the tune of $1,500.
If I threw up twice and then it stopped, I probably wouldn't be getting myself a $135 shot for nausea. After having diarrhea for less than 24 hours, I most likely wouldn't invest in an ultrasound and cancer screening.
They gave her IV fluids (that was all I allowed) and that was $365.I am so sick of this vet industry putting profit first and animals second. I understand that making money is part of the equation, but this is ridiculous. I will not go there again.

Bring your checkbook
Bring your checkbook. My 21 year old daughter in law took 2 puppies to the hospital. Both dogs were in bad shape and one was basically dead when she walked in the door. They took the dog back and asked my emotional daughter in law if she wanted CPR on the dog. Of course she said yes, but did not tell her it was $1000. The dog died within 5 minutes. They told her the other puppy needed surgery and it would be 12-15 thousand dollars. She left with 2 dead puppies and a $2,100 bill for an hour of nothing.

Chronological Summary of Events - Lense
November 4, 2025
Lense presented to Dr. Liebman with lethargy and decreased appetite. No baseline
bloodwork or diagnostic testing was performed despite systemic symptoms.
Marbofloxacin (Zeniquin) 50 mg was prescribed for suspected pneumonia.
November 5-6, 2025
Following administration of Zeniquin, Lense developed new symptoms not
previously observed, including facial swelling and paw edema.
November 6, 2025
Lense was re-evaluated. No diagnostic testing or comprehensive reassessment
was performed at that time. Treatment was limited to administration of
diphenhydramine.
November 7, 2025
Lense's condition worsened, and he was transferred to BluePearl Hospital for
e m e r g e n c y c a r e .
Upon arrival at BluePearl Hospital, Lense presented with:
• facial and throat swelling
• suspected pancreatitis - per Blue Perl
• suspected Cushing's disease
• systemic inflammation - per Blue Perl
We were contacted by hospital staff at approximately 5:00 PM and again at 7:00
PM and were informed that Lense was "doing good." In addition, we were verbally
advised at the time of admission that Lense had a good prognosis for recovery. We
were presented with a proposed treatment plan involving an anticipated two-day
hospitalization with an estimated cost of approximately $10,000. When we inquired
about Lense's heart condition, we were told it was "good," and when we asked
about blood test results, we were also told they were "good."
At the time of admission and during these communications, no medical records or
diagnostic reports were provided to us. The only documentation provided at that
time was the proposed treatment plan outlining the intended course of care.
November 7, 2025 - Treatments Administered
Multiple medications and interventions were administered, including:
• Furosemide (50 mg) - documented as given by mistake
• Butorphanol - documented as given by mistake
• Pantoprazole - supportive care
• Maropitant (10 mg) - anti-nausea
• Metoclopramide (5 mg) - additional anti-nausea therapy
• Ampicillin (administered approximately 1:30 PM and 9:35 PM)
• Plasma transfusion (approximately 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM)
• Aminocaproic Acid (250 mg at approximately 10:26 PM)
Evening of November 7, 2025
Shortly after the plasma transfusion concluded, Lense was brought to us inside
the hospital in a severely deteriorated condition. At that time, Lense was observed
to be:
• unresponsive
• unable to walk
• with h e a d tilted to the left
• with visibly swollen abdomen
This a c u t e d e t e r i o r a t i o n w a s not d o c u m e n t e d in t h e medical record.
O u t c o m e
Lense's condition continued to decline rapidly and resulted in death at 11.39pm
the same night (we received a phone call from the hospital stating that he passed
away)
Following Lense's passing, partial medical records were provided approximately
one day later. The remaining records were provided approximately 20 days later,
a n d only u p o n r e q u e s t b y u s .
Summary Observations
• New symptoms developed following administration of prescribed
medication
• Limited diagnostics were performed despite systemic presentation
• Multiple medications were administered during acute decline
• Certain treatments were documented as given by mistake
• Observed clinical deterioration was not reflected in the medical record
• Verbal communications regarding prognosis and condition were not
consistent with s u b s e q u e n t clinical o u t c o m e
• Medical records were not provided contemporaneously and were
released only after delay and upon request

I took my dog to blue Pearl yesterday…
I took my dog to blue Pearl yesterday because I believe that she was choking. I thought originally she may be got a hold of a baby rabbit in our fenced in yard and ate it and was choking on it. I wasn’t quite sure because I let my dogs out in my fenced in yard like most people do with dogs with a fenced in yard. They were outside for maybe 25-30 minutes. I go outside to give them some food and to see if any of them wanted to come in and then I noticed my corgi had blood coming down her mouth all on her chest down her legs as if she was in a fight. But I realized she was choking, and I couldn’t quite figure out why there was blood if she was choking. So I rushed her to blue pearl because they were the closest and my family vet had their number listed as an emergency. I take my dog there and we get there about 11 PM, they take us into a room, check her temperature and her weight and then take her in the back and make us go to the waiting room, which I thought was odd to not let you stay with your dog in a vet room like most vets usually do. But anyway, we go out to the waiting room and we wait. They keep her in the back. Up until about two in the morning. They call us back to a room and the doctor says just for bloodwork it’s automatically about 1400 which is whatever I care about my dog, but like how have you guys had her for all this time and all you did was bloodwork? So they come in to tell me that so far I have to pay this much and that it’ll be more after they do x-rays and I was like I told you guys when I came in she has something stuck in her throat and I’m just thinking to myself why wouldn’t you have already done the x-rays as it is? If this is considered an emergency, why isn’t it being treated as such?. But anyway the vet says she’s gonna go do the x-rays and be back in about an hour so an hour goes by. It was three something in the morning at this point and she comes back and basically says they can’t diagnose my dog, but believe that it was because she was choking on something, but can’t give me a definitive answer can’t diagnose my dog, but they said that they wanted to keep her overnight to evaluate her and just to keep her overnight Was pushing $5000 and there wasn’t even a diagnosis. I get emergency dog hospitals cost more because it’s an emergency, but this was excessive and to pay that much money and still not know what’s wrong with my dog felt like I was being robbed. They came in to show me the estimate and told me they could keep her overnight and I decided when they came back in the room to let them know, I will be taking her home to monitor her myself. Then they said well we have to write up a new estimate then. Then they bring in the new total which ended up being $1700. And the paperwork I got sent home with said she was undiagnosed, and that they were unsure of what was wrong with her. I felt like they were more worried about money than actually caring for the dog. I feel like they did not do everything necessary to check her. It doesn’t make sense why they had her for 3+ hours and all they did was bloodwork and to come to me to basically ask permission to do x-rays literally when I told you people from the get go that my dog Was choking and was coughing and gagging. Why wouldn’t you automatically do an x-ray from the start? It wasn’t treated as an emergency. And to try and charge me all that money and not be able to diagnose my dog is insane. If you weren’t able to help me, you should’ve simply have stated that you can’t diagnose her cause you don’t know what the problem is and I could’ve took her somewhere else you wasted my time and $2000 for a dog that is still sick. The only thing they did tell me was that they could see a little object in her intestines, but it seems to be moving on its own. So clearly it’s not for sure that it will but I wasn’t given any answers other than that. I’m just very displeased with the care that my dog received when it comes to not knowing what’s wrong with her and charging the amount that you charge. Literally nothing was done. All I got was sent him with gabapentin and an undiagnosed dog and $1700 later. If all you were gonna do was keep her overnight to keep her on oxygen and to monitor her how did that reach 5000 and how would that have got you a diagnosis? It just seems to me like they are about money and only money. This is the first time in my whole 31 years of life where I’ve ever taken a dog to a vet and spent a lot of money to be told, she’s undiagnosed. I can’t believe it. Horrible experience. The only thing positive I could say is the staff seem nice but I guess whenever they’re racking up your bill and charging you as much as they are id be nice too.
