Unfortunately, our experience with Blue Collar Pet Transport was extremely disappointing. We hired the company to coordinate a flight nanny to safely transport our new puppy from Illinois to New Mexico, and what should have been an exciting, straightforward process became unnecessarily stressful.
Communication was consistently poor. We struggled to get clear answers, confirm arrangements, and establish reliable communication regarding our puppy's transportation. At one point, a customer service representative informed us that the person handling our arrangements hadn't even entered all the necessary information into their system.
For a company entrusted with transporting people's pets, I would expect a much higher level of professionalism, organization, and communication. We were making arrangements around a breeder's schedule, airline travel, and the care of a very young puppy. Having to repeatedly seek clarification and follow up on basic details was frustrating and concerning.
Ultimately, we lost confidence in the arrangements and decided to fly to Illinois ourselves to bring our puppy home.
Transporting a pet requires an enormous amount of trust. Unfortunately, our experience with Blue Collar Pet Transport did not inspire that trust. I would strongly encourage anyone considering their services to make sure every detail is confirmed and documented before relying on their transportation arrangements.

I would prefer not to keep going over this but i think it is very important for potential customers to understand that the “records” blue collar claims to have are not real. I have asked for any internal written correspondence surrounding our dog’s transport, to which i was told there was nothing. Only the group chat.
Any sort of location information is harvested from screenshots of life360 app (which is not designed as a business grade transportation software— its for families to keep track of each other). In our case there were many redactions. None of the provided “timestamped records” were primary, the contractor route coordinator took a screenshots and built a timeline out of that. When i compiled that information and began asking questions where there were gaps, i was asked “what are we even in search of here?”
We were promised photos and videos 4/day. We got about once a day. When our dog died in their care and we started asking questions, more videos were provided after the fact, we were also provided videos of other animals.
Based on the communication from the vet and pathologist, it is their assessment that our dog was dead 6-12 hours before being brought in. Blue collar can disagree with that, but i am trusting the opinions of unbiased professionals, not a company with no expertise as veterinarians or veterinarian pathologists, and have a stake in the outcome.
On the necropsy, it is very important to note that the cause of death was not determinable and that the body was too decomposed to gain any meaningful insights about the cause of death. Again, blue collar is not a veterinarian pathologist, i will trust the written interpretation of the 2nd pathologist brought in to review the necropsy over a company that has a stake in its outcome.
My experience is not the experience most people will have. In general, this company over promised and under delivered across the board (poor communication, did not provide updates as promised — though there were some updates, just not at all what was promised, zero records around care— food, water, driver sleeping, ect).
All i want to do is make potential customers aware that if something goes wrong, this company is not equipped to handle the response or provide meaningful documentation you would expect from professionals.
The thing that makes this more concerning is if you look into it(go ahead and search reviews and google) there are other incidents with the exact same fact pattern involving blue collar (animal in care for 48 hours, dies, in full rigor when brought to vet)
While this has been difficult, i have tried to stick to facts. I am more than willing to share any documentation to any potential customer.
Because its a groupme chat most of what i can show you is screenshots of all communication, but i also have communications from the kennel my dog was at when blue collar took over care, communication with the vet who saw radar (in full rigor), all documentation from vet and pathologist, necropsy, review of necropsy by 2nd pathologist, texts from actual blue collar employees about this experience (most of my communication with the company after radar died was with a contractor route coordinator— the one who was responsible for the route radar was on when he passed).
Please consider other options.
Response from Blue Collar Pet TransportSep 19, 2026
We understand the customer remains dissatisfied, and we respect their right to share their experience. However, we disagree with several characterizations in this response.
The records referenced by Blue Collar Pet Transport include communications, location information, photos/videos, and information gathered during the review of the transport. We have never represented ourselves as veterinary professionals, nor have we attempted to substitute our interpretation for that of a veterinarian.
Most importantly, the necropsy did not establish a definitive cause of death. We recognize the seriousness of the customer’s concerns regarding the condition and timing of their pet’s passing, but we do not believe it would be appropriate for either party to present conclusions beyond what the available veterinary evidence can definitively establish.
We have reviewed this matter extensively and provided the information available to us. We remain deeply sorry that this transport ended with the loss of Radar. Given the extensive discussion that has already occurred, we believe our respective positions are clear and do not intend to continue debating the matter publicly.

Dog arrived dehydrated and limping
Dog arrived dehydrated and limping. was told that he was taken off leach to run in a dog park and fell into a hole. When contacted company about this situation, and possible vet visit, I was asked to send a video of his limp so that could set that I was not LYING. I told them my internet was not working and ask to call the driver. Which i am sure was never done. Thankfully, after 2 days dog is fine. I would not recommend this company for the safety of your dog. Also, the unprofessionalism of the company staff.
Response from Blue Collar Pet TransportSep 7, 2026
Thank you for sharing your concerns. We are glad to hear that your dog recovered and was doing well within two days of arrival.
We do want to clarify a few points. When we requested a video of the reported limp, it was not because we believed you were lying. When a customer reports a possible injury after transport, requesting a photo or video helps us document the concern, assess what is being reported, and determine the appropriate next steps. We apologize if that request was communicated in a way that made you feel otherwise.
We also take concerns regarding dehydration seriously. Pets are provided access to water and routine care throughout transport, and our team reviews concerns raised regarding an animal’s condition.
Regarding the reported incident during the dog’s break, we agree that any such occurrence should be properly communicated and documented. We continuously review situations like this with our transport teams to reinforce appropriate handling and safety procedures.
We are sorry that our communication left you with a negative impression of our company. While we respectfully disagree with the suggestion that your dog’s safety was disregarded, we appreciate the feedback and are pleased that your dog made a full recovery.

Buyer beware!
Buyer beware!
I entrusted this company with transporting my beloved dogs and specifically booked what was represented to me as a private transport experience. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. A drive that should have taken 10 hours took nearly 20. My dogs were dehydrated when they go out of vehicle. They drank water immediately and proceeded to vomit and have diarrhea. They were not properly cared for.
Despite expectations of private transport, additional dogs were included, which was disappointing and not what had been represented to me when booking.
My greater concern involved safety and communication. During a subsequent transport, I learned the driver intended to drive through the night without stopping to rest, with pickup occurring the following morning. As a pet owner, this raised serious concerns for me regarding safety, driver fatigue, and the well-being of animals being transported for long distances.
What has been equally disappointing has been the lack of responsiveness when I attempted to address my concerns directly afterward.
I am sharing this because when we place our dogs in someone else’s care, trust, transparency, communication, and safety matter enormously. I encourage other pet owners to ask very detailed questions about transport arrangements, driver schedules, and exactly what “private” means before booking.
Response from Blue Collar Pet TransportSep 7, 2026
Thank you for sharing your concerns. We take the safety and care of every pet entrusted to us seriously, and we are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations.
We would like to clarify that travel times in pet transportation cannot be determined solely by the normal point-to-point driving time shown on a navigation app. Appropriate pet-care breaks, traffic, weather, road conditions, and other circumstances can extend a transport considerably.
We also take reports of dehydration, vomiting, or diarrhea seriously. However, drinking water immediately upon arrival does not by itself establish that an animal was dehydrated during transport, and gastrointestinal upset can occur for a number of reasons following a long journey or change in environment. We would never want to speculate about a medical cause without veterinary documentation.
Regarding the private transport service, we understand why this distinction is important. We have reviewed concerns surrounding how the service was represented and believe that any misunderstanding regarding the specific transport arrangement should have been addressed more clearly at the time of booking. We apologize for any communication that did not provide the clarity you expected.
We also want to clarify that our drivers are expected to operate safely and responsibly. A driver’s anticipated schedule does not override the need to stop when rest is necessary, and we do not encourage unsafe driving due to fatigue.
We regret that you felt your concerns were not adequately addressed afterward. While we respectfully disagree with the characterization that your dogs were not properly cared for, we appreciate the opportunity to clarify these points and will continue using customer feedback to improve communication and expectations surrounding our services.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Our healthy dog died in their care.
Title: DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Our healthy dog died in their care.
I am writing this to warn every pet owner: Do NOT use Blue Collar Pet Transports. We booked them two months ago when they had good reviews, but their service has drastically deteriorated, and their negligence cost us the life of our healthy 4-year-old Labradoodle.
Our dog was picked up from our home at 2330 on a Monday night. She was completely healthy. We received a photo update the next night (Tuesday around 2200) where she appeared fine. Less than 48 hours after she was picked up, at approximately 1900 on Wednesday, we received a phone call from the company stating our dog was "unresponsive."
When I demanded the name of the veterinary hospital and called the emergency vet myself, I uncovered the horrifying truth:
• Our dog did not become unresponsive at the vet; she arrived at the hospital already in rigor mortis. She had been dead for hours while in their transport.
• The driver had already abandoned her at the clinic and left before the company even called us, claiming they "had another dog to deliver." They knew she was deceased before they even dialed our number.
The vet stated she still had the 3 large zip lock bags of food we provided to driver. It didn't look like our dog was fed.
To make matters worse, the company completely ghosted us during the aftermath. I desperately tried to arrange transport to another facility for a necropsy (animal autopsy) to get answers. The transport company refused to respond or help. I tried three different Uber drivers and attempted overnight FedEx shipping, but because of the 2-hour distance and logistics to another out of state facility, we could not get her to either facility in time. Because they delayed notifying us and refused to help transport her body, we were unable to get the autopsy.
They are hiding behind a contract clause that states they are not responsible for animal deaths, and they know exactly what they are doing. After this nightmare occurred, I checked recent reviews and realized a flood of horrible experiences have been reported in the last month alone.
This company operates with zero compassion, zero accountability, and zero safety protocols. They treated our beloved family member like disposable cargo. Please, do not put your pets in their hands. I do not want any other family to suffer the heartbreak we are enduring.
Response from Blue Collar Pet TransportSep 7, 2026
We extend our deepest condolences to you and your family for the loss of your dog\. Losing a pet unexpectedly is devastating, and we understand the emotions surrounding this experience\.
However, we respectfully disagree with several conclusions presented in this review, particularly the characterization that negligence has been established as the cause of your dog’s death\. No veterinary determination or necropsy established that the transport, lack of food or water, or any action by Blue Collar Pet Transport caused her death\. Describing negligence as the established cause therefore goes beyond the medical information available\.
Regarding the food provided for transport, the presence of remaining food does not establish that your dog was not fed\. Food and water are offered during transport, but animals experiencing the stress of travel may eat or drink differently than they normally would at home\.
When your dog was discovered unresponsive, veterinary assistance was sought\. We understand and regret that the communication surrounding this emergency and the events afterward did not provide your family with the level of support you expected during an extraordinarily difficult situation\. We take that concern seriously\.
We also want to clarify that our service agreement does not give our company permission to disregard an animal’s welfare, nor do we view any pet as “disposable cargo\.” Our policies regarding unforeseen illness or death during transportation do not eliminate our responsibility to provide appropriate care while an animal is entrusted to us\.
The circumstances surrounding this loss are extremely serious, but an unexpected death during transportation does not, by itself, establish neglect or its medical cause\. We believe conclusions regarding cause of death should be based on veterinary findings and documented evidence rather than speculation\.
Again, we are deeply sorry for your family’s loss and extend our sincere condolences during this difficult time.

Alarming inhumane treatment of my puppy…
Alarming inhumane treatment of my puppy during his transport from the breeder to my home.
This company Blue Collar Pet Transport had me download an app GroupMe and ensured that I would receive a minimum or 2-4 pictures a day of my puppy along his journey. They breeched the contract on several occasions.
3/19/2026, 9 pm- My German Shepherd puppy, 8 weeks old is picked up by driver.
I received no pictures or update that my puppy was picked up, nor a picture to verify that he picked up the correct dog (as contractually promised). In fact the driver actually drove to his home in NC and slept there, which was unplanned and unknown by management. I had to email the office to make them get me an update on the whereabouts and safety of my puppy the next day.
The driver then tells me the next day on GroupMe that he is sorry that none of his messages went through last night. Then he sent me a picture of my dog that he took at pick-up. The driver stayed in NC all day and left some time in later afternoon to begin driving to Florida.
Another breech of contract as I received only one, 4 second video of my puppy walking in the grass. No update on his health, or where he slept overnight.
The driver must have slept on the road but I got no update on any stops on 3/20. This is another breech in contract.
On 3/21 the driver says in GroupMe "please take care of the invoice so we can continue our route". I refused to pay as the contract says we pay once the puppy is delivered. I told him that I would pay the invoice once he delivers my pup safely.
When the driver arrived my puppy was spiritless in my arms, alive but very weak. I paid the driver and took a look at my frail puppy. His hip bones were protruding, his belly and eyes sunken in. My pup was clearly dehydrated, malnourished and disoriented.
I called the office manager and he ensured that he would investigate. I messaged the driver and asked if he fed my pup the whole route and he ignored me. The office manager still has yet to give a valid answer as to whether or not my pup was fed or watered.
I gave him plenty of time to investigate and provide a valid reason as to why my puppy was delivered in such a condition and even worse, explain to me why the driver handed me a full bag of food for the pup after being on the road for 2 days. The breeder handed him the same bag just as full before the journey, so seemingly, my pup literally ate nothing for two days on the road.

We are very sorry to hear that this customer was dissatisfied with their puppy’s transport experience. We take concerns involving the health and care of any animal extremely seriously, especially an 8-week-old puppy.
We acknowledge that the communication and update frequency during this transport did not meet the level of service the customer expected or that we expect from our team. Regardless of whether messages failed to transmit, customers should receive consistent updates throughout their pet’s journey, and we understand the concern caused when those updates are missing.
We also take the allegations regarding the puppy’s condition upon arrival very seriously. However, we want to be careful not to draw conclusions about dehydration, malnutrition, or the cause of the puppy’s appearance without veterinary documentation establishing those conditions. A remaining quantity of food at delivery, by itself, does not establish that an animal was not fed during transport.
We also regret the confusion surrounding the payment request. Any communication regarding payment should have been consistent with the customer’s service agreement.
Blue Collar Pet Transport does not consider inadequate food, water, rest, or care acceptable under any circumstances. Pets are family, not cargo, and every animal entrusted to us is expected to receive appropriate care throughout the journey.
We appreciate this customer bringing these concerns to our attention. Situations like this are reviewed internally so that communication, documentation, and driver accountability can continue to be strengthened.

My sister hired this company and Jesus…
My sister hired this company and Jesus to transport her sons dog from Washington to NY. Her son passed and she is trying to get his dog home. She had signed contract and promised pick up date by 12/28. But when that day was approaching and she hadn't gotten a text/call back in days she started to panic. And she was right... they ghosted her. She then threatened police and they sent her deposit back. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!! UNRELIABLE AND HEARTLESS!!!!

PETS HELD FOR RANSOM & EXTORTED FOR $1,500
I have had to report this business to the Better Business Bureau and am currently seeking legal counsel regarding my experience. At the time of delivery on December 4th, this company refused to release my pets unless I paid an additional $1,500, after the agreed-upon price of $2,650 had already been paid in full prior to pickup. Payment was demanded after they already had possession of my pets and would not release them otherwise. I paid under pressure and duress in order to get them back. Afterwards, I immediately contacted the company and was told I would receive a refund for the $1,500. It is now December 20th. I have received no refund, and the company has stopped responding. I was ignored by Ann from the Customer Service Team, Rick (who I initially spoke with to arrange the transport), and another individual Kenneth who sent the $1,500 invoice. Additionally, one of my Rottweilers arrived with a bladder infection and was urinating blood. The veterinarian indicated this was likely due to her having to hold it for an extended period during the 17-hour transport. While the vet visit was fortunately inexpensive (approximately $160), she is still on antibiotics at the time of me writing this review (December 20th) having to take 2 pills every 12 hours. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS TRANSPORT SERVICE. Based on my experience, their pricing practices, lack of accountability, and disregard for animal welfare are deeply concerning. OWNERS BEWARE.
