BlazePodReviews of blazepod.com

The product is Great in theory but of course like many new electronic products the company wants you to purchase a subscription app that cost $$$ for the product to have increased services. They also made the pods unstable but of course you can purchase additional base parts so they don’t tip over so easily- why not include those bases with the initial purchase! Would not recommend them based on the corporate greed and lack of basic uses without the app subscription

I had to buy multiple account so more than 1coach can use them at one time and if that coach isn't there I had to open a 3rd account. It's unnecessary costs. Each account should allow more than 1 user.

I still haven’t been sent an activation code yet

The BlazePods themselves are great and very versatile. They often don't recognize a touch but that may be because I have them set on a soft surface (gym mats). The biggest downside, and reason I almost returned them, is the fact that you need a $16/month membership just to review your personal data and to set up personalized workouts/programs. This is not well advertised before buying them and would have definitely made me think twice. The only data I get to review is each workouts reaction time graphically and independently of other workouts. I understand the need for ongoing revenue but as someone who just uses them casually (not as a trainer) it is absolutely not worth setting up a membership, especially since it's 1/2 the price of my gym membership. It would be great to see my progress over a few months and, to be honest, would encourage me to buy more pods and to recommend it to others based on personal improvements. Some basic data tracking for a single person (avg. reaction time for each program graphed against months etc.) and maybe 1-2 personal workouts allowed to be setup without a membership fee (or a $3-$5/month fee) would be much more reasonable based on the base price already paid for the pods themselves. Once again, I do think the product itself is great and I do 'think' that they would help for any athlete, there just needs to be a rethink of the app for more casual users (i.e., not avid athletes or personal trainers).

The hidden cost is very tricky, you will end up in a situation to subscribe to the App. The pods themsef have very limited function without the App!

The product is ok, but don't purchase this product from Canada or you will pay high duties and import fees.

I recently bought the pods and now I want to use it, I'll see the limited functions i get, unless I buy a membership. The purpose for what I want to use it for is not available, without membership. I'm very dissapointed.

Blaze pod products are great but shipping is always insanely long and painful. 2-3 day standard shipping turns into 1-3 weeks because of the cheap OSM worldwide shipping company they use. I thought when I ordered my set of pods it was just unlucky cause COVID/time but those took 3-4 weeks to me. I should have used Amazon store since I know I’d get my product faster. Great product and company but going skimpy on the shipping really kills it. I’ll plan on using Amazon store knowing the products are sent and would have been around the same price even with the discount from Memorial Day. Also only negative about the pods is the lack of free control on creating drills. Would love to be able to make patterns with a home button hit so I can set the pattern off not rely on perfect timing
