Highly recommended for people on a tight budget---the coverage isn't as good as a lot of other plans, but the price is right. The wellness rider is worth adding, especially with a cat; unfortunately, it doesn't cover tooth cleaning or extractions, but it covers enough that you'll get more value out of it than you pay into it. Most of the time, you'll be accruing costs that dribble in, so the lower deductible is a plus. It does help with major accident/illness bills, as it pays 50% of the cost with a $3,500.00 maximum. I transferred my 14-year old Aussie Rat Terrier to this insurance when the premiums got to be over $150.00 per month---just couldn't afford it any more. For an elderly dog in otherwise decent health, this is a good option.
