Terrible customer service as others say unfortunately. It would have been my third pair of Birdies. They sent me the wrong model... and now I have no way to talk to someone to exchange it without handling fees. Everything in the customer service is automated: email, phone, texte and live chat isn't available. So yeah, quite deceiving after a good experience earlier on.

I ordered from Birdies when they first launched and didn't have any problems exchanging a pair of shoes. Fast forward several years and I'm shocked by the lack of service. I ordered a pair of shoes but they were too big so they went back. Birdies customer service (via email) confirmed that they shoes were received June 24th. It is now August 9th and I still have not received a refund. Birdies did respond to my first two emails inquiries on the status of the return, and I was told the matter was being escalated. My subsequent emails were completely ignored by customer service. Today I called and had to navigate a robo-attendant and leave a voicemail. I understand it takes time to process a return, but 7 weeks? I'm starting to worry they won't give me my money back. I cannot recommend Birdies. The shoes aren't worth the risk of losing money.

My shoes never even left the warehouse for a month after my order. Since a shipping label was created following my order, Birdies informed me it had shipped and therefore was not their responsibility. I did get a refund as a “special exception” but came away not wanting to do business with them again.

What ridiculous customer service; if it can even be called that! I ordered two pair of shoes the first pair is exactly what I ordered. The second pair didn't even come close. The customer service website is horrible to navigate, the customer service telephone number is a robo response. 30 days to navigate the nonsense for a return or exchange.... Reading the other reviews does not offer much promise. I am SO disappointed as I love the brand.

Ordering was smooth, and the shoes arrived quickly. But I could tell as soon as I saw the box that the shoes were too long. But I tried one on to be certain. It was too long, too wide, and too heavy. I didn’t even walk on it because it was huge! Interesting, because the reviews indicated that some people ordered up. I noticed their reviews are all positive (so unlikely and should have made me suspicious). I sent an email about a return and that I did not want to exchange for a different size. They stated they would process my return and send me a label for a free return. The label was never sent. I sent more emails which were not answered. Then I got a bot response which asked about the quality of their service. Are you kidding me? It’s obvious they are stalling so that I’m late with the return and don’t get the refund or free shipping! So I’m forced to pay for the return and suspect I may never get the refund. These shoes were ordered in September, and they’ve been playing with me for three weeks. Now I’m nearly out of time. Not only is it the worst service, but the business practices in general appear suspect on multiple levels. So I’m returning “in perfect condition” shoes at my own expense and in original packaging and will have to wait for the refund. Let’s see how that goes… Update December 6th: It was like a game of chicken…Birdies finally responded just days before I would no longer be able to get a refund, after I’d already shipped the crazy big (and in my opinion poor quality) shoes back to them at my own expense so that I could get the refund. They did give me a refund but would not reimburse me for the shipping; was one expensive try on. Would never do business with them again. It was an ordeal.

The company ignored my emails for almost a month before I called and talked with the least helpful and mean customer service representative. She was condescending and rude. I can't believe they have someone like that in a customer service role. I asked why they ignored my emails and she said they were a small company with only 3 customer service people. You only have 30 days to return a product so you would assume they would contact you before the 30 day expiration. They also make false claims on their website: We offer a 30-day fit guarantee so you can make sure your shoes are just right… because at Birdies, we're committed to comfort. If you're not completely satisfied with your shoes, we'll accept a return or exchange within 30 days of the purchase date, no questions asked. 100% happiness. Mine did not fit and hurt my feet, they would only give me a gift card worth $50, a small portion of the original price. They said they do not give you a 30 day fit guarantee on sale items which is not specified in the copy from their website above. This was our 4th pair we had bought but I will never buy another pair again. The sizing is also not consistent from shoe to shoe. They told me to keep the shoes, like I should be happy to keep shoes that don't fit and are uncomfortable while they kept almost half my money. I just wanted the same pair of shoes in a different size. I guess Birdies thinks it's okay to avoid recycling bad product and to add shoes to a landfill. What a joke. I still haven't received my $50 credit even though she said it was coming in moments. I bet I never get it.

rip off! These guys are just collecting your money folks.. the alarm is way too weak to alert much of anything AND returns are on the consumers expense! Beware another great on line marketed product money grab!
