Love my older Billy Kirk pieces!
I have bought a several pieces from Billy Kirk over the last 15+ years; mostly different sized bags, wallets and a sketchbook cover. And I absolutely love those pieces; so much so that when I lost my satchel I immediately ordered a another one, only to find the first one hiding in my closet. The leather and hardware and so authentic and the design is minimal yet traditional; so usable, rugged and full of character… the beauty of these pieces is wrapped up and well executed with those traits. I was very surprised when I received the notebook cover that I ordered. The finish of the leather seems different than my other pieces; it’s smoother, shinier; not as rugged and doesn’t seem like it will age like my other pieces.

Over the years tanneries have shut down for one reason or another so we are constantly pivoting to find the best quality veg tan leathers. Sometimes the texture and shine is more pronounced from skin to skin.
