I was right at 200lbs, with a BMI of 34. My insurance wouldn't touch it, since I was just "obese", not "morbidly obese". The cost to self pay in the states was quoted to me starting at $13K upwards to $26K. I researched how I could save money on this, and BeLite was rated high with good reviews. I called and spoke with Jamie, and she spent 30 minutes just getting to know me and walking me thru all my questions. My husband was concerned about crossing the border, but we researched the hospital and the doctors and felt comfortable with giving it a go, based on the doctor's reviews. Everything went just as we were told, from the shuttle at the airport to checking in at the hospital, to the actual procedure. We were set up in a three room, two bathroom suite (seriously!), with a sleeper sofa for my husband. The staff was amazing, they even helped my husband order pizza from the Spanish-speaking Papa Johns! The surgery was effortless, I woke up in no pain and was walking around a few hours later. The team of doctors gave me lots of instructions and sent me home with the medicines I'd need for up to two months. They even explained how I needed to walk on my plane ride home to ensure no blood clots, and gave me stockings to wear as an added precaution. I'm now starting week four post-op and feel great, absolutely no issues so far! I received a sweet care package from BeLite a week after I got home. I cannot thank BeLite and Dr. Rodriguez enough for starting me on this life-changing journey!

Amazing company and amazing hospital! My patient facilitator was Nicky and she was great and so helpful with everything! She answered every single question I ever had! Also I had my surgery at Star Medica in Juarez. It was hands down the cleanest hospital I have ever been in! All the nurses and doctors were amazing also! Overall I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

This surgery was such a success for me. No complications and a wonderful staff at Belite. It's been 6 months and I'm down 75 lbs. What are you waiting for, go for it!

My sister approached me in November and told me she had decided to have the Gastric Sleeve surgery in Juarez, MX. I freaked out and said over my dead body. She said she had done extensive research, plus she had a friend who had used BeliteWeight and Dr. Rodriguez Villa Real, five years prior and everything had gone so well for her. I said give me all the information and I will do my own investigation…hoping to find something that didn’t add up. I was unable to find anything unfavorable about either BeliteWeight or Dr. Rodriguez. I gave her my consent. She then dropped the bomb on me. She said she was going to foot the bill, but wanted me to do the procedure too. I really had no excuse, not to accept. So I reluctantly said yes…and a million times before the surgery, scheduled for March 10, 2016, I wanted to back out. It was only a week and a half before surgery, that I finally accepted that this was happening. I don’t know why I had such a tough time with it. I am morbidly obese, I had nothing to lose but my obsession with food. Food that was killing me. The facilitator at BeliteWeight, Teri was outstanding. She was always available and knowledgeable. She really put me at ease, about the whole process. I had arranged for my best friend to be my companion and help care for me. Well the weekend before surgery, my best friend decided she wanted to be a patient too. So Teri, had to work her magic to make it possible for her…and she did. As soon as I arrived at the El Paso Airport, as I was approaching the baggage area a gentleman said my name…like how does he know me. Well it was the driver Sergio. He said go collect your luggage and I will be here waiting on you. So he whisked me away to the Hospital…we were there in less than 30 minutes. By the time my sister and best friend arrived, I was already checked in. We (my best friend and I) were able to get the double suite…which is unlike any hospital room here in the States…that I have ever seen. I wish I could post pictures…we took tons. My sister was given a smaller suite and she wasn’t too pleased, so she asked if she could be moved into something larger. The staff being ever so lovely and accommodating gave her what she wanted. In the states you get what you get and you don’t complain. Here they bend over backwards to make you comfortable. The nursing staff was exceptional. They would come introduce themselves at the start of their shift. We spoke Spanish, so when they were introducing themselves they would ask if you spoke Spanish. I imagine if we didn’t they would of been able to speak in English. That’s an assumption on my part. Now I must say the one con…and it was a con for my best friend. She tends to be very sensitive to smells. She said the wing that we were in had a very disturbing odor. My sisters boyfriend agreed with her. Again this did not bother my sister or I. What I did notice is that unlike the States that have these special red Bio-Hazard trash bins for needles and blood soaked gauze…everything went into the common trash. One night my best friend woke up and took the garbage pail outside the room and began spraying her perfume everywhere. She said to suggest to anyone coming to bring a fragrant plug in for the room. Now about Dr. Rodgriguez and Dr. Elmo they are like Rock Stars…the moment they entered the room, we knew we were in good hands. I remember being wheeled into the surgery room and there was another Dr. that was in there and everyone was talking to him..and they were putting me to sleep and my last thought was I hope they ain’t changing Doctors on me at the last minute…but they didn’t. I am eight days post op, sleeping on my belly, no pain what so ever & dropping two pounds a day. My sisters decision was the best decision of my life.

I'll begin my journey with my weight-loss surgery in March 2015. I continued thinking of the surgery but I couldn't afford it at the time. I decided in late November 2015 to just pursue and see what would happen. I begin discussing the surgery with people from the BELITEWEIGHT we agreed on the down payment and I was scheduled to go in for surgery on December 15. I have now lost almost 60 pounds AS OF Today, March 19, 2016. I will never regret my decision and I'm so thankful to everyone at BELITEWEIGHT for helping me along my journey. They are very trustworthy and everything worked out just as THEY said it would. Thank you, to everyone at be lightweight. I'm so thankful for all that you've done. My life has changed for the better and I'm excited about losing more weight.

I strongly recommend. Great people, atmosphere they really know how to make you feel at home. They will answer ANY questions you may have. Explain everything in great detail. Very nice hospital, it's extremely clean and very friendly staff.

Beliteweight is a very professional company. I'm very happy with me results. They communicated with me well. On August 19th will be 1 year I had my surgery. So far I've gone from a size 18 to a 10. Yyyaaa
