BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!!!! Bebcare's website claims their main offices are in beautiful Cambridge, Massachusetts; however, Bebcare runs credit cards through a Hong Kong ISL banking system, so my American credit card charged me an additional $5.11 foreign transaction fee to purchase their product. On February 21, 2023, Bebcare service representative Juliana told me that she discussed this issue with her superiors, and Bebcare would reimburse me a one-time charge of $5.11 for the foreign transaction fee. As of 3/6/2023, Bebcare still has not reimbursed me $5.11. I am NOT impressed with this company!!!!! Here is the email Juliana sent me: "Tue, Feb 21, 10:30 PM (13 days ago) to me Dear Diane, Thank you for your email and the additional information about the foreign transaction fee. I have shared the information with the finance team for investigation. The team has confirmed that this is a charge levied by Bank of America, not by us. As mentioned before, we did not charge you this amount. Our other customers are not being levied this foreign transaction fee, which means the fee is dependent on the terms and conditions of the credit card. Nevertheless, we value you as a loyal customer of Bebcare. We will make a one-off exception and provide a special US$5.11 discount on this purchase. This discount is being processed and will show up as a credit back in your account. I hope this information helps. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Best regards, Juliana - Bebcare Team" Bebcare is not taking ownership of this issue. If they claim they are an American company, then they should NOT be running my credit card through a Hong Kong processor. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT PURCHASE A PRODUCT FROM Bebcare!

DO NOT BUY FROM BEBCARE. I cannot stress this enough. First, they are not low emission like they say. (Look up info from Tech Wellness - She does a review of baby monitors) Second, their customer service is the actual worst. They told me I could return my monitor. 2 months has gone by & they refuse to refund me. (Their policy for refunds is 2-5 weeks) They ignore my emails & website chats. (Even though they say they will immediately respond) They delete my comments on social media. They are SCANNING people. Google reviews are terrible with so many others who never received their refund & are out hundreds of dollars. They don’t care about you or your baby. Profit > people. Liars & thieves

Faulty Monitor Within three months the swift in the monitor stopped working. Customer service has told me the switch is not covered under the warranty. So the monitor is but the switch isn’t. Terrible product and service. Ciara

Do not buy this product. The baby monitor randomly disconnects from the camera. Maybe that's how they claim to have lower electronic emissions? Other reviews have said they measured higher or equivalent emissions, but that wasn't a priority for us. We first and foremost need a baby monitor we can rely on that will definitely absolutely let us know if there's something wrong with our baby. So much to our dismay over a 5 day period, three times we had the monitor be not connected to the camera when we checked it, including twice when we could hear the baby crying through the door yet the "monitor" 5 feet from the baby, on the highest sensitivity settings & volume settings, showed only a blank black screen and no indication of any noise. 45 seconds after we checked the screen, THEN it decided to work and connect and picked up everything fine - We hadn't moved at all, this wasn't a range issue, everything was plugged into the wall so it wasn't battery-related. It just literally disconnected from the camera. The second unreliable issue is that they advertise, and we were excited to try out, a breathing sensor to inform you if the baby stops breathing. Of course until you purchase it, then suddenly they call it a "motion sensor" and warn it won't work under some mattresses. Well, no problem, we didn't have a memory foam or hollow mattresss, so we should be fine. Wrong! As far as we can tell, it doesn't work under ANY mattresses, on any settings. It "works" if you lay your baby directly on the hard plastic mat, or maybe if you use a sheet or two. But underneath a mattress? Forget it, we tried 3 different ones. They provide suggestions on how to get it to "detect motion" (?Motion? I bought a BREATHING sensor!) like putting a board under the pad/mattress, or increasing the sensitivity, but none of them worked. Well, maybe the monitor itself adapts to the breathing sensor being unreliable? Nope! If the breathing sensor isn't working, it will set off an alarm every 20 seconds. You can silence the alarm but it will still turn the screen on every 20 seconds because, after all, the breathing has stopped! So you end up being forced to completely disable the breathing sensor. Now hopefully someone who encounters these issues bought the bebcare monitor from a reputable online seller. Because Bebcare doesn't stand behind their products. Their return policy, with 1/4th being charged for a "restocking fee", is 14 days from when you order it. But it takes 7 days to arrive, so it's actually 7 days. Heaven forbid you be proactive and buy the monitor before your baby is born, or that you're in the hospital when it arrives, because now you have 6 or 5 days to try to set it up, figure out all the quirks and little issues with it, encounter the blackout problem or breathing sensor problems, and try to return it. Don't buy from Bebcare. Since I don't know when it will randomly disconnect from the monitor, I wouldn't even trust it to watch my two and a half year old. We replaced it with a dxr-8 monitor for less money which is absolutely phenomenal.

I placed an order for the Bebcare video monitor on on April 5, 2021 and received the monitor about a week later. Late December 2021, the parent unit stopped charging. We used the monitor for less than 9 months before it ceased to function. The monitor was very well maintained, and it still looks brand new. I reached out to the business, and their customer support said the charging port of our monitor isn't covered by their warranty. They admitted that the (older) version of their monitor we own - which we purchased less than a year go - has a charging port with issues. I am not sure this is accurate, or that their "newer models" don't have this charging port problem. I find it difficult to believe any claims this business is making, based on their slow customer service response and due to the fact that they quit all communication while we were emailing about our problem. Their resolution was to offer us a 30% discount if we purchased a replacement monitor. It is unacceptable for a $250 baby monitor to break less an a year into using it, and for the business to resolve the issue by asking the customer to purchase a new product at a token discount - a discount which is only slightly better than coupons readily available to anybody online today. We even tried fixing the monitor ourselves by taking it to an electronics repair shop, however they informed us that the case of the monitor is welded shut and cannot be opened. This is keeping them from getting to the charging port and fixing it/replacing it. This is a poorly built product and I am writing this review so that other parents are aware and don't spend the money on it.

Before you purchase this product from a rather unknown company making unverified claims about reduced EMF exposure on a wifi baby monitor, I'd suggest you look at the return policy on their website. Number one, they only give you 14 days from date of purchase (not the date you receive the shipment) to return the device. Number two, a mandatory 20% re-stocking fee is deducted for any return. Number three, if you use any promo code they will reject your return...the sale is final. Number four, if you purchase the device directly from Bebcare's website (which lists a Massachusetts mailing address), your credit card will be charge by a HONG KONG company as an international charge. Beware, based on the return policy alone you can tell this company doesn't stand behind their product. Make sure you read the google reviews as well, not all the paid blogger reviews.
