I’ve been dealing with this company for over six months, and their customer support is absolutely terrible, especially Maggie. They promise payouts within 2 weeks (business days), but every single time, they fail to deliver. Instead, I’m constantly brushed off with automatic replies and generic excuses.
What’s worse is that each support agent seems to handle my issue differently. Some try to help, while others, like Maggie, seem to brush me off just because they don’t feel like working. It’s completely inconsistent and frustrating. It’s shameful to call this "support" – it’s more like a constant runaround. If you value your time and money, avoid this service.

Hey Keith, I'm really sorry to hear about the frustrating experience you've had and the inconsistency in our support.
This definitely isn't the level of service we aim to provide. Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and I'll make sure it gets to the right people so we can address these issues directly. If you're open to it, I'd like to connect with you via your Ticket reference to resolve this and make things right.
Your time and trust mean a lot to us, and I want to ensure we do better moving forward. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I look forward to your reference ticket being provided so I can look into it further.
Thank you!

Do your own due diligence on beats bought
Just be careful if you're buying beats from them as there is no guarantee the beats will be legally obtained or free of copyright. In fact, it's already established that many beats they sell will contain unlicenced and 'stolen' beats from uncleared sources, as they don't check any beats for originality and, as it turns out, don't agree to cover any such losses where unlicenced beats have been sold. Which is fine as long as your music isn't going to make any money. The moment it does, however, there's a good chance that publishers will come out of the woodwork asking for their cut from a beat you never knew belonged to them.
This has been highlighted in the case of independent artist Ren's 'Sickboi' which he has had to take down due to a third party coming out of the woodwork to claim on a beat he legally purchased from BeatStars, and which has cost him a substantial amount of money.
All fans of Ren have now lost this track if they bought a streamed album or single containing the track, unless they downloaded it. Although not having bought a track from BeatStars (and probably won't now) I, and all fans, have a personal loss from the loss of this track which is largely due to the fact that artists can legally buy beats from this platform and yet still have no certainty over what they have bought.
There are many factors in this case, but Beatstars, as the intermediary between the person selling the beat and the person buying the beat, surely need to take more responsibility or penalise offenders selling 'stolen' beats much harsher than they do at present. Otherwise, what is the point of using them if, when you are lucky to have a track that makes any money, you get shafted by the system.
So, for all artists buying beats and hoping to make money from their music, get yourself some legal agreement from BeatStars or the producer of the beat to ensure you don't get shafted later.

Hey David,
We understand your concerns, and they are certainly valid, especially when it comes to the legal implications of purchasing beats.
It’s important to remember that BeatStars serves as a marketplace connecting buyers and sellers, and while we do provide a platform, we do not control the content that individual users upload. The responsibility for ensuring that beats are original and properly licensed falls on the creators themselves.
That said, we strongly encourage all buyers to thoroughly review the licensing agreements and seek legal advice if needed to protect their work. If you come across any suspicious or potentially infringing content, please report it to our support team so we can investigate and take appropriate action or use our DMCA process for such content.
Your feedback highlights the need for greater vigilance, and we’ll certainly consider this as we work to improve the platform.

Save Your Money
I used Beatstars from Day 1. Used to generate a very significant amount of sales. They used to offer placement and playlist submission opportunities, used to promote their subscribers, etc. They have done a complete 180. They don’t offer any of that anymore and only push their in-house production now. I highly recommend saving your $20/month

Hey Tom, Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sorry to hear that you've noticed changes that have affected your satisfaction with Beatstars. Your feedback is valuable, and it helps us understand where we can improve.
In regards to sales, like every business, unfortunately, we cannot guarantee your sales as these are done through natural engagement between you and your customers, which is outside of the control of BeatStars.
Please note that our opportunities section is undergoing a total rework, this is our way of revamping the entire process to bring even more quality and opportunities for our members. That means strategizing and how we can bring a better experience for our community.
We do still promote our subscribers as seen on socials along with the Spotlight contests that we run to Spotlight various creators. - https://www.beatstars.world/beatstars-spotlight
If there's anything specific you'd like to discuss, our support team is here to listen and assist.

Beatstars Is Total Trash and a Scam
Beatstars has been going down for over 5 years now.
The message system is extremely limited to where users can't link emails and/ or social links, but Beatstar uses all of the social links on those platforms without question. Blocks end users from trying to connect for their job, like what the actual f^%$.
Scamming is out of control. People will purchase top selling beat leases, then turn around and sell them. Beatstars will never alert the feud that is taking place. I noticed it when someone accidentally said I was stealing leases, but the person got the name wrong when messaging.
People are purchasing beats, and reselling them for cheaper, while Beatstars never notifies the original owner of the material.
To make Beatstars better, the owner needs to sell it, fire everyone currently working there. The only thing it has going for it, is its name. The service is so overrun with gimmicks, the real objective is forgotten. And that is for producers to make money from their creativity.
Beatstars owners should be absolutely assumed.
Response from BeatStarsSep 9, 2024
Hey Nope, I'm truly sorry to hear about the challenges you've faced on Beatstars.
I can help clarify that BeatStars does not allow links or emails to be shared in messaging for spam and security reasons.
This should not block end users from using the social connections available on each profile is updated by the user to make other forms of contact possible, such as email in your Bio and more.
We are however looking into overhauling the experience for messaging and more in the near future.
While I understand your frustration, it's important to note that BeatStars does not control individual users' content or directly manage disputes between buyers and sellers.
We provide the platform for transactions, but the responsibility for handling disputes primarily rests with the parties involved. However, we take reports seriously and encourage users to reach out to our support team if they encounter any problems.
We're here to assist and ensure the marketplace remains as fair and secure as possible.
If buyers are buying beats and reselling these, you may need to provide more context as to what type of beats, have you reported this to our support team and had an investigation done for the transactions made, have you filed a DMCA request for the content being resold? If none of these options have been used, we would encourage you to look into these further.
Your feedback is incredibly important, and I'll make sure it reaches the right people. If there's anything else you'd like to share or discuss, we're here to listen and help in any way we can.

They stole my royalties!
They stole my royalties of almost $2,000! They made a sorry ass excuse about “OFAC licenses” and told me I had to get a license from OFAC so that their bank partner can release my blocked payment. They also lied to me, said my payment was completed and I should ask my bank to locate the transfer, however the payment had actually been “blocked” as per their email. If you go and check on OFAC this is a page where people can get licenses to bypass sanctions. Where the hell does a music producer fit into sanctions when their website has information of sanctions on terrorist groups and countries! Absolutely horrid, they haven’t replied to my emails at all and refuse to let me know where my money is. At this point I’m pretty sure someone is pocketing my royalties. This is actual bs and calls for a lawsuit

WORST COMPANY EVER
Hi, I decided to buy 5 beats, to make some music, then I put my paypal, and paid these beats, "order canceled" and no money on my bank account, i tried a second time and still the same, don't buy beats on this site it's deceiving
Response from BeatStarsJun 28, 2024
Hi Patrick, Apologies, please note that we do not process payments and this is not managed on our side. Payment-related issues can be due to various valid reasons.
If payments are being canceled or pending and if this is not due to your payment method, it's likely due to one or more producer's personal PayPal accounts not accepting your currency or another issue with their PayPal account. If this is the case, you will need to contact the affected producer(s) to resolve any issues with their PayPal account(s).
If this is an issue with your payment provider, please contact them for more information.
We apologize for your inconvenience. Thank you!
