Once Bear Hill's director passed and…
Once Bear Hill's director passed and the facility was sold; it started experiencing major changes. Then the pandemic hit. My mom was a resident and these are only a few things; I could go on and on. I had the state in for a review, the ombudsman from the state noted several things of concern just walking into my mom's room. I also filed a complaint against their "doctor" and have all documentation. These photos show her wheelchair on her oxygen tubing while she was in bed; dirty dishes piled up, my mom had a food allergy (anaphylactic allergy) of peaches and they served her peaches. There's a photo here of the new facility director that they removed from their original post from an event as someone posted he was wearing his mask incorrectly. They have had a major turnover in staffing from director of nursing, to facility director and some of their most senior nurses have left. I used to bring her food and a note of what meals for what day only to find she rarely got them during the pandemic. I dropped off pudding for her that they left out of the refrigerator, her call button and telephone always out of reach. My mom has passed; I guess I shouldn't have expected anything from them; but not even a card from anyone. I wish I could say something positive about our experience; but I can't. Oh and if you post a comment on Facebook that is a negative they're pretty quick to delete. So if you have a comment to make on their Facebook page; make it under the review tab. They can't delete that- but they instead deleted the review section, turned off Facebook comments, deleted posts etc.
