Parent parent of a patient. Medical/Psychiatry part of Beach House treatment needs a lot of improvement. Especially considering that many patients have co-occurring needs. Is a critical part of treatment. With that, the facility would approach 5 stars from my family perspective.

Our mission at Beach House is to provide a successful recovery and a lifetime that is free of the stranglehold of drugs and alcohol. Family involvement is crucial and we encourage family and loved ones to participate in the treatment process. However, if a client does not like the opinions and feelings that a loved one or family may have regarding their treatment, the client, as an adult, has the ability to revoke all releases or even some releases, and instruct us to only communicate what they want us to communicate to their family. It's a very difficult process for families to understand but at the end of the day, the client is our patient and we follow all patient privacy laws regarding who and when we communicate with, and what we say. It's common for families to hear one thing from a client and for us to be unable to give them the full picture as we must follow the client's directives.
