UPDATE — Response to Bbobbler's Customer Service Manager
Jennifer, I appreciate your public acknowledgment that my instructions were clear, your company made the mistake, and I should never have been asked to pay to correct it. But your response illustrates the problem: another apology, another request for ME to contact you, and still no action. I have spent considerable time corresponding with Lily, who stopped responding when I asked about the cost and timing of replacement stickers. I paid extra for premium craftsmanship and expedited production for a special 50th birthday gift, only to receive disappointing workmanship, incorrect lettering, and delays surrounding a 10-day Chinese holiday. You already have my order details and correspondence. What exactly is left to discuss? Correct the inscriptions, ship replacements at your expense, and refund the premium charges for services that failed to meet expectations. I am also concerned that your website advertises "All 5-Star Google Reviews," yet I cannot independently verify these reviews. The Better Business Bureau gives Bbobbler an F rating and has raised concerns about its advertising claims, including customer testimonials. Jennifer, you don't need me to contact you again. You need to take responsibility and fix the problem. I will update my review when Bbobbler takes meaningful action. Until then, prospective customers deserve to know about this experience. Customer service is measured by actions, not apologies. INITIAL POST Avoid Bbobbler for anything important or time-sensitive. I paid extra for their supposed “Top-level likeness by our master” and for "expedited sculpting" because this was a 50th birthday gift with a firm deadline. The likeness was disappointing, and after the order was already underway I was informed that their factory/courier partners were about to take an approximately 10-day holiday, meaning production, shipping and even email responses would slow down. That put me in the position of having to approve a result I wasn't happy with simply to have a chance of receiving the gift on time. Then they completely botched the inscription. I clearly requested “Marius” on the golf bag and “50 Years. Still Under Par.” on the base. Their customer-service representative, who identified herself as Lily Bennett, confirmed those exact instructions in writing. Instead, Bbobbler put wording equivalent to “Marius on golf bag and 50 Years. Still Under Par.” on the base — apparently treating the production instruction itself as part of the inscription. I even emailed before shipment asking Lily to confirm that what I was seeing in the photograph was only a placeholder. They shipped it anyway. Their response when I complained? First, they suggested I pay another fee for a new sticker. Then they proposed that we "split the shipping cost: so they could send stickers for ME to apply to correct THEIR error. I finally asked Lily exactly how much shipping would cost and when the stickers would be sent. She never responded. I paid for a master craftsman, expedited production and shipping and ended up with a product containing an obvious, documented production error and customer service that stopped responding when asked to resolve it. Absolutely unacceptable.

Dear Customer, Thank you for sharing your experience. We take your feedback seriously and understand your disappointment, especially since this was intended as a special 50th birthday gift. First, we want to clarify that Bbobbler is committed to providing high-quality, handcrafted, personalized products. Each bobblehead is individually sculpted and customized based on the customer's photos and instructions. While our artists work carefully to achieve the best possible results, handcrafted products may naturally have some variations from photographs. However, customization details such as names and inscriptions should always be accurately followed. In your case, we acknowledge that the inscription instructions were not correctly implemented. This was a production error on our side, and we agree that customers should not be responsible for additional correction costs resulting from our mistakes. We also recognize that our communication regarding the proposed resolution was not handled as promptly or clearly as it should have been. Regarding production timelines, our company works with specialized artists and shipping partners, and certain public holidays can temporarily affect operations. We strive to communicate these potential disruptions in advance, particularly for time-sensitive orders. We regret that your experience did not meet those expectations. We also want to reassure prospective customers that our premium sculpting service reflects the additional craftsmanship and attention dedicated to custom likenesses. Our goal is always to deliver personalized products that customers are proud to give as gifts. We understand that another apology alone is not a satisfactory resolution. Since we already have your order information and previous correspondence, we recognize that you should not have to repeat your concerns. We will review the outstanding correction and refund requests internally rather than asking you to restart the process. We value every customer's trust and appreciate feedback that helps us improve our production quality, communication, and after-sales service. Sincerely, Jennifer Bbobbler Customer Support Team
