Ordered a custom sword. Full tang, for weight considerations, and which I paid extra for. It was not full tang, and instead had a piece of all thread welded to the blade. I told them, and they sent me another sword. This time, instead of making it full tang, they USED EPOXY on the threads and handle so it "could not" be removed. Obviously, I cut the stupid plastic handle off, and am now working to free the epoxy. Not only is this company not only lying to us all, they are covering up their lies with epoxy.

Good weight and feel in the hand, but the steel was a bit thicker than expected for a skinning knife. It takes a fair amount of work to get a razor edge on high carbon Damascus, but it’s a solid starting piece.

Despite ordering more than two months ahead of my deadline and proactively confirming the schedule, I was penalized for a delay that was entirely on the company’s side\. My experience was disappointing from start to finish: inaccurate lead times, poor communication, and a significant financial penalty when they failed to meet the timeline they advertised\. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Battling Blades and would encourage prospective customers to carefully research reviews and understand the cancellation policy before placing an order\.
