Basis Pet (Not Basic Pet)Reviews of basispet.com

I've ordered from Basis Pet twice and both times have been very pleased with the quality of the products as well as the service. Each time I had emailed the company with questions - they were quickly answered and I got the sense that they/he was proud of the products being they offered. So much so, their name is stamped on the bottom of the bowls. Speaking of the bowls, they are lovely! All the stainless bowls (from other countries) that I've bought over the years (from other companies) are now used as saucers for my flower pots. I don't want to take any chances with the health of my 5 dogs so I'm only feeding them using the bowls I purchased at B.P. - they are made in the USA!!

Being the owner's of an AKC German Shepherd, my wife and I are always trying to 'do the right thing' for her health; both body and mind. When we came across these made in the USA dog bowls we bought them based on others positive reviews. The purchase and delivery was quick and efficient. The bowls themselves obviously well made. My Japanese wife was very impressed, and she has very high standards. I would like to conclude by saying that in all of my years of purchasing products online, this is the very first review I have ever submitted. Between the unconditional guarantee and the free return postage that was included, the personal touch from this business owner was over the top. Indeed a small business focused on the customer. The letter accompanying the product I bought - a pair of stainless steel dog bowls - promised customer satisfaction, and, boy did they deliver! I ordered the wrong size (my mistake) and when I tried to return the items through Amazon.com there was a problem (Amazon's error). When I contacted Mike at Basis Pet, he promptly arranged for a return and shipped out the correct size at the same time - no delay, no fuss.

I have three of the small bowls for cat food, one medium bowl for water, and a small and medium coaster, and they're all wonderfully made and look and function great. I especially like that there are no sharp corners in the bowls in which wet food can get stuck - even my elderly can get all of the food out of these bowls. My one (very minor) complaint is that there was no stain or treatment on the wood coasters, which looked a little dried out when they arrived, so I had to add my own (Daddy Van's). This really brought out the beauty of the wood and so far I haven't had any problems with water stains. Customer service is excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to place another order, though everything is so high quality that I probably won't have to replace anything for a long time.

I have purchased the bowls, and bowl holders and couldn't be happier! The bowls are made in the USA and are really beautifully made! They are deep and wash up nice. They do not get the slimy feeling inside that some of my other stainless dog water bowls have had an issue with. The bamboo holders are pleasing to the eye and hold up great. I do dry them off and don't let water accumulate to keep them nice. The little new plastic bowl holder is great for outdoor use (indoor too) to keep the bowl from moving and to keep it off the floor. The owner is very friendly, honest and pleasant and quickly responds to emails. So glad I found this company when looking for USA products :)

I highly recommend Basis Pet for their quality and business ethics. The owner, Mike, went out of his way to honor my order request. It was shipped quickly and exactly as I desired. Extremely professional and the antlers are very high quality... my dog loves them!
