I wanted food & water bowls which would be safe for my cat & would last many years. I've always heard stainless steel are the best choice. Because of that I bought 2 of those type of bowls at PETCO & PetSmart. In both stores I chose the most expensive ones thinking they would be of better quality. It never occurred to me that they would sell items that could harm my beloved cat. After using the PETCO bowl for the 1st time it began rusting. I searched online reviews & found out that I had purchased 2 low quality stainless steel products made in India. They are so harmful for pets' health that there had been a recall for both brands in previous years. Nevertheless, they were still selling them at PETCO & PetSmart during this summer (2015). Fortunately my cat only used them once & didn't get sick. I immediately returned both bowls & researched for a trusted & local product. That's how I got to know Basis Pet. It's a US family owned business. Their website has a lot of information about the importance of choosing a certified stainless steel product. In addition they have a money back guarantee. Everyone loved them at Amazon & many other pet related websites, therefore I decided to order 2 bowls. Ordering was easy & even though I live in Puerto Rico my bowls arrived in less than a week. The package includes very detailed instructions on how to clean & use the products. Because of that, and their great customer service, Basis Pet has answered me more questions about feeding bowls that my own Vet. The "real" reviewer, my cat, love the bowls since day one & is spilling substantially less food on the floor. She seems very relaxed & happy whenever she approaches her feeding area. I am very grateful to have found a brand that is a completely safe option for my animal companion.

This is an awesome product. I was looking for a good quality bowl for a puppy, that will last and will support pets health - pretty basic, they eat from it every day. First I checked big brand stores for stainless steel made in the US , but I couldn't find anything. Because this is an item we are going to use for years to come I wanted to get something made in USA as I believe the quality is better and I love the idea to support people who made an effort to create things here. The owner really takes pride in his work and that shows. If I can spend my money here I rather do that. This bowls are great, it was a pleasure to open the package and see such pretty product - you can't find those in stores. They are also sturdy, won't break or get chewed (like plastic ones) by a puppy. They have some weight and do fine whiteout holders. I ordered 2 medium ones, which will be perfect from puppy to adulthood. If you are looking for a quality bowls, these are a super choice.

Researched the Internet for days trying to find the best food bowls for our dogs. Came across the Basis website. Will order again from them when needed.

This is a high quality product. The stands were easy to assemble and the bowls are very nice. I love that they are made in the USA. My order was shipped promptly, packaged well, and arrived in good condition. My only suggestion would be to make an XL size bowl and stand. I have a Great Dane, and the large works for food because I divide his meals and feed him twice daily. If I larger size had been available, I would have bought it as a water bowl - but the large size that is offered is too small for this purpose --and would require me filling it multiple times a day. Just a suggestion for a product that giant dog owners would love!

I've been using the basis bowels for a few years now. My 6 month old puppy is a fast eater so I recently purchased a small bowel to flip upside down in his large bowel. This helps slow him down a bit. I've been telling every independent retailer I run into about your products. I only wish they were more affordable, so more people could purchase them. I also purchased a large stand for him. It's durable and doesn't slide around, he's a Rottweiler. I did find a code online to get a percentage off the stand, but still almost $90 for a large stand and small bowel is a bit steep. I fortunately had an extra set of large bowels purchased years ago I used in rotation with my older dog. They've held up well with no rust or discoloration, just a couple dents from a big fall.

I am so happy with the quality and care put in these bowls fir my pets! Made in USA and no worries about lead, radio active material or any other poisons
