Provides helpful information for free lancers and provides information on best practices to follow and information on pitfalls and what should ring alarm bells about the prospective client. From what I garher, one part is still not very fleshed out for the newbies on how their lifetime experience relates to a marketable skill set post retirement in a fast changing tech environment. Many with long years of experience do not possess the degrees or certificates rquired. For example, many people have worked as Project Managers over a long period of time with a company but never needed to acquire the PMP certification. Actually when they starting managing projects, even large ones, there was no PMP and certifications.

Hi Ejaz, Thanks for you praise! Yes, not every client is a good client and some of our guidelines can help you steer clear of them early on. One of the tools we use is our Client Connection Worksheet. You are right that both skills and tech are changing quickly. Our Tuesday night live call we walk through this frequently. Also there is a path for PMP certification for those more seniors workers where they can get credit for the project management they did during their career. It also comes with a training program for the certification test. One of our coaches got their PMP certification through this path. I will send you the details by email.
