Bale Trek with Mohamed
My friend and I had a 9days experience in November on the Bale Mountains with Mohamed: this is was one of the best experiences in my life :) The landscapes leave you speechless everyday, also because the environment changes every few kilometers. The trekking is manageable: ofc is not as easy as a normal walk (10km+ at 3500/4000m high), but Mohamed walks at your own pace, there are as many rests as you wish, lunch-break on the road and, if you ever are not feeling well, there’s a horse that carries you on to finish the trail. Also, there are some horses that will bring you the heaviest bags, so you are very light during the trekking. The food is cooked by a chef and, even if at high altitude, is very tasty; I’ve never felt hungry. They also provide as many bottles of water as you need. What I appreciated the most is the flexibility of the plan: Mohamed can shape the plan according to the preferences you have, both before AND during the trekking. For example, we had just 9 days and we were interested in wildlife: while other companies had just 7 or 14 days plan and couldn’t assure us some time for the wildlife, he made a plan shaped for us and our preferences. Also, in the beginning we planned 6 nights in tent but, during the experience, we modified to 5-nights in tent without any complication. All the crew is very kind, available for any need and also very sunny. 10L/10 experience!!
