The worst backgammon platform that I ever used. The mobile application is crashing very often and no chance to fix the issue. During the game you can realize a row of many doubles (up to 4-6 in a sequence). The more you play the more you have bad dice numbers and you are immediately hit by the opponent. In the opening phase I stopped to move the checker to position 20 because the opponent has 3/1 in 90% of the games. Many, many similar issues. I don’t believe that the used RNG works properly, it is far away from the reality. Don’t waste your money or time to support this ugly platform.

Playing for free is fine, but......
Review Re: Backgammongalaxy.com - - After spending time with the free version, and after spending quite a bit of $$ buying coins so I can continue to play, I've lost confidence in this app. The dice feel consistently unfair — opponents seem to roll doubles at an improbable rate, particularly in competitive matches between higher-ranked players. I know variance is part of backgammon, but the patterns here go beyond what feels statistically reasonable.
What bothers me most is the lack of transparency. The app previously showed Luck Rating stats, which at least gave players a way to evaluate fairness objectively — that feature has since been removed without explanation, making it impossible to assess what's actually happening with the RNG. Pointing to open-source code doesn't address the real question of how the live game is implemented.
Free play is fine, but I can't recommend paying for anything at this site. If fair, transparent gameplay matters to you, look elsewhere.

Hi L.

I’ve been a Star Member for months
I’ve been a Star Member for months, grinding through over 4,000 games, but Backgammon Galaxy is a total scam disguised as fair play. The dice rolls are blatantly biased—opponents get impossible streaks of doubles while I get garbage, especially in high-stakes matches against other Star users. Reviews everywhere echo this, but the devs deny it with “open-source RNG” excuses. Worse, they quietly removed the Luck Rating stats that used to prove (or disprove) fairness—now it’s just gone, leaving us in the dark.
Canceling the subscription? A nightmare. No button in the app, hidden on the web, and if you miss it, you’re stuck paying. Support is slow, and the whole thing feels designed to trap you. Free play is okay, but premium is a rip-off—stick to real boards or other apps. 1 star, uninstalling now.

1) You can't decline the amount of coin…
1) You can't decline the amount of coin your opponent want to gambling with. So, you can lost all your coins very fast even if you are a top class player.
2) You can't chose yourself who you want to play with.
3) Dice sometimes goes insane... especially against those 'fake payers' ( bot ? ) with impossible record.
Exaple. I have played someone with 7 games played 4 won 3 lost with a rating of 0973 ! So, if you lost ( and you will lost 100% of the time cause the dice are fixed in those games. )

Intentional or bad techs?
As someone with a background in Silicon Valley tech, I’ve taken the time to analyze the outcome data from your game, and I can confirm that the results deviate meaningfully from a statistically random distribution.
If this is intentional, that’s understandable—many gaming systems use weighted or pseudo-random algorithms to influence player engagement. However, if it’s not intentional, I strongly encourage your team to review the code and investigate this issue. The large volume of user feedback regarding perceived bias in outcomes suggests a real problem worth examining.
From a technical standpoint, I can assure you the current results are not consistent with random behavior. It may be time to bring in engineers who can isolate and resolve this anomaly.
