Be Awere
Be Awere! This Company is Scam! Fraud! Updated, Originally we signed contract with Jay Brown who was one of senior manager of Authors Book Publishing company. ( now we were told that Jay Brown is not working in this company anymore). On 10/22/24, we agreed to pay ABP the sum of $38,840.00 to print and distribute 3,000 softcover and 2,000 hard cover of Virtue to 600 Barnes and Noble bookstores (B&N) in major cities around the United States. We were pressured on 10/18/24 to accept this “ opportunity “ to get the books into the B& N stores in time for the holiday season. We were very reluctant, we went through several rounds of negotiations to assuage our concerns. We agreed to this deal and sent $10,000 with USAA credit card ( this money is back to us now), $28,840.00 was wire transferred on 11/04/2024 from my account of Umpqua Bank. according to the contract that “ guaranteed “ we would get the $38,840 back directly from ABP if Barnes and Noble failed to sell enough books to deliver royalties equal to the $38,840.. In fact, there was no accounting delivered by ABP to us. We have asked repeatedly for the required accounting since then, we have been given no evidence to show that the 5,000 copies of my book that we paid for were ever distributed to the 600B&N bookstores as required by the contract. On 2/03/2025, we checked the Barnes and Noble online page, there was no listing for my book “ Virtue” and no listing for the author, Geoffrey Holland. Authors Book publishing has failed to meet their obligations under contract in multiple ways. They are scammers, cheated most of my savings. Date of experience: January 03, 2025
