Disappointed
I like the basic idea of automated ads and had high hopes for this service. I ran my first ad and paid an extra $20 just to select what part of my audio to be played with the ad. So about $260. The extra $20 should be part of the service and not an optional upgrade. The ai monitoring agent kept shutting down ads that were getting good results but not yet hitting a target cost per click, and then generating new ads to replace the underperforming ad which were much worse. For example, there was an ad with 90 clicks and .96 cpc that was paused, and the replacement ads were much much worse. So the monitoring agent was not very smart and needs a lot more tuning. I think manual is the way to go. At almost the end of the campaign, the results were above $1 cpc which is way too high compared to Hypeddit and SoundLink which I ran ads simultaneously for the same track for less money. The ads themselves looked random and low quality. It is hard to believe they are viral. Also, there metrics/dashboard did not provide much in the way of how the ads translated into Spotify saves/adds, especially since the song is on 50+ playlists and has over 20K streams from those playlists. When I reached out I got an Ai generated email. Big difference from the excellent support I get from Hypeddit and SoundLink. In sum, I cannot see any compelling reason to work with this company over Hypeddit or SoundLink, unless they improve upon the above.

Hi Kirk, thank you for taking the time to write this out. We've gone through your campaign in detail and we've taken the feedback on board. On the Agent. Pausing an underperforming ad and replacing it is the correct way to run a campaign, it's what a human media buyer does. Your feedback on where that line should sit is noted and has gone to the team. In the meantime, every ad has a manual enable/disable control on your Creatives tab so you can override the Agent whenever you disagree with it. On the cost figure. The number in your dashboard is Cost per Result, a verified arrival on your track page, not cost per click. They're different metrics, and your CPC was considerably lower than the figure you quoted. Worth comparing like for like before concluding the other platforms came in cheaper, and we're happy to go through your actual numbers with you privately. On saves and adds. Spotify doesn't make saves or playlist adds available to advertisers, so no ad platform can attribute them. We report what we can verify, including streams where our data provider covers the artist. It didn't cover yours, which is why that section was empty. On the creatives. These are the same templates running across our whole catalogue, and they perform. That doesn't mean they were the right fit for your track. There's a "report a problem" button on each creative that comes straight to us. That's also why we make uploading your own creatives available. On the $20. That's the Boost Pack: audio clip selection plus the Aura Agent and control over your DSP links, not the audio alone. Whether picking your own clip should be standard is a fair point and it's noted. One correction. We didn't send you an AI-generated email. You used the in-app chat assistant, which is an AI and is labelled as one. Human support is a separate channel and is answered by people. You can email us at [email protected]. Thanks again for the feedback! - The Aura Team
